Eyestring

Yestring was quite different from what I expected. It's a body horror short film, but with a deep psychological twist. So deep, in fact, that at times I wasn't even sure what it was about. That said, the story is basically simple, but much of the interpretation and discovery is left to the viewer, just as it is to the main character in her quest for truth and help. I think the protagonist's acting was quite good and convincing, given her role as someone struggling with loneliness and mental health issues. The horror element - which, of course, is directly tied to the title of this short film - is also very effective and not for the faint of heart. As for the ending, I didn't expect that, and I would love to know what happened next.

I mean it did write itself, no? Still, no pun intended. A short movie that really wants you to see ... what exactly? That is tough to say, without going into details! I will say that you will see quite an interesting special effect! Are you ready to let this into your eyeball(s)? Be careful what you wish for.

Well played and quite intriguing - you have to give it up for the movie, that took the idea and ran with it. The main actress is selling it really good too. The story is tight and we are able to feel (empathy) for her ... and we might cringe a bit (with her) ... it is not easy to have an issue like that. Things do get hairy ... will they unravel? Well I had to ... you'll see ... if you see this.

A short film about deep loneliness and about illusion of the help from others. A young woman , in her room, talking at phone with a hotline service man. His advices, suggestions, clues for better state.

But a not comfortable fact changes her peace parameters. A string from her eye. No pain, only not pleasant situation. Sure, the scissor as first solution but the string is present , the hotline service speeker is other, a medical eye clinic seems not the expected solution. So, she is alone. And when the radical option seems the fair one, a last not comfortable surprise.
