Breed of Greed

I admit, I started watching with keen interest. Halfway through, it became clear it was pure nonsense. I fast-forwarded past it. The film's strength is its concept: a timely critique of the greed of pharmaceutical magnates, wrapped in the guise of a supernatural thriller. The idea of a curse fueled by greed is intriguing and could have been a fresh take on the genre. However, the execution suffers from an uneven script and a lack of clarity in the genre blending. The supernatural elements are underdeveloped, their origins and mechanics remain irritatingly unclear. The film misses the opportunity to further explore the moral implications of the Wendolin empire's activities, which could have given the story a more grounded connection. The result is a family drama that completely fails to realize its promising premise. Four stars. A thoroughly boring production.

Definitely worth a watch! The film, part thriller, part horror, part comedy dives headfirst into themes of corruption, inheritance, and the lure of wealth - and it does so with both theatrical flair and psychological precision. The horror elements - subtle at first, slowly become unhinged as there is the creeping sense that greed itself has become a living, breathing thing-killing everyone caught up in the corrupt world THE WENDOLYN FAMILY has created!
