Grand Masti

Director Mr. Indra Kumar work is fine. He made the silent scenes more hilarious than the scenes with punch lines. He has justified this adult comedy genre in good way. A scene, when Aftab comes out from bull is hilarious, even it is a silent one. Big drawback of this movie is it's scrap story. Screenplay is also simple. Dialogues by Milap Zaveri, are the highlight of film. It is very clear that first they had selected the A rated jokes from all other sources then thought how to stuff them. So, outcome is no story and linear screenplay. Most of the jokes are already heard. After all, they will make you smile at least. I appreciate the makers honesty that they had already given clear cut indication about the content of film in trailer and promos. Performance wise Ritesh Deshmukh is brilliant. He does his scenes with lots of ease and makes the even dull scenes interesting. His dialogues delivery is also very good. Vivek Obrai and Aftab Shivdasani are OK. I am unable to distinguish between all female actors but they are so so. Music wise title track composed by Sanjeev Darshan is good and another "Mamla set kar le.." composed by Anand Raj Anand is good.

Indra Kumar has several hits to his credit namely Dil, Beta , Raja , Ishq and Dhamaal. Unfortunately, over the years the humor and comic sense has completely gone down in his films with Grand Masti joining the list of vulgarity and cheap jokes.

Looking for blast from the past , Meeth , Amar and Prem goes for grand reunion of their college after 6 years hoping to have a pleasurable time. Things turns topsy-turvy when they get involved with Principal's beautiful family.

A lot of expectation was riding high from Indra Kumar as he has successfully delivered masala potboilers over the years. However, Grand Masti is now-where close to double-meaning yet hilarious Kya Super Kool Hain Hum or fun-filled Chachi 420. The film boast of some silly adult jokes which you may read in your daily sms, newspaper or website. Worst is not over yet - Few scenes have been directly lifted from Austin Powers and our desi No Entry. There is nothing called screenplay in the film. Editing is horrible. Music is bad. Performance wise Ritesh , Vivek and Aftab are strictly OK.

Overall , Grand Masti is a grand disaster. Few scenes do makes you smile but rest of the film is full of semi-naked girls, vulgar and double- meaning dialogs. Bad 1/5

If you have plans on watching this movie do try to think twice. If you are person who laughs on every PJ you get on your cell phone, than this movie is for you. The movie contains all the PJs that were ever forwarded to to your cell phone by your friends.

The movie has copied a lot of scenes from foreign movies and the TV show Mr. Bean. A scene from the ace Ventura movie has been also copied. Some scenes from American Pie and a scene from a movie in which a girl pulls out stuff from a guys anus.

Try watching it with very less of expectations and hard-ons.

Grand masti is an adult comedy which involves life of three married guys who want to have masti without letting know their wives..It is a reality take on how young guys do fun during their college time.

We all have gone through that period of what we used to do during college days and young guys sometimes have fun cracking non veg or vulgar jokes.That is what grand masti offers on the siver screen..It has all the ingredients of an adult comedy..

And please while watching it do neglect some cheap jokes which show women in poor light..Hardly there will be two or three..Rest all is fine

All in all Grand masti is a good movie for weekend fun.

Looks like adult comedies are here to stay! 'Grand Masti' happens to be the successor to the 2004 comedy film 'Masti', although the only link between the two films is its three male leads. While the first film was more about clean entertainment and played on typical clichés of marriage jokes, 'Grand Masti' resorts to a host of adult jokes, mostly drawn from forwarded funnies for a plot.

The film starts off with college seniors Amar (Ritesh Deshmukh), Meet (Vivek Oberoi) and Prem (Aftab Shivdasani) briefing the newbies on the A-B-Cs of college life. Just when one of their batch-mates Hardik (Suresh Menon) tries to hit on a girl, their new principal Robert (Pradeep Rawat) publicly shames him.

Cut to six years later, our three heroes seem to be having marriage woes. While Meet's wife Unnati (Karishma Tanna) doubles up as his ambitious boss at work, Amar is mostly ignored by his wife Mamta (Sonalee Kulkarni) who showers all her attention on their newborn. Prem on the other hand has to deal with Tulsi (Manjari Fadnis) who seems to be more devoted to her extended joint family at the cost of her husband. Note the names used for each of the wives are according to the roles they play!

Just while they are blaming their fate for their lives being stuck in a rut, they get a call from their old college (with a funny name when used as an acronym) about an alumni meet and week-long fun. But they are surprised to find that the college isn't what it was back then. Under Principal Robert, it seems to have degraded into a Talibanized regime with over-conservatism and fear of punishment.

Things just seem to look brighter when the trio meets up with their old teacher Rose (Maryam Zakaria), Marlo (Kainaat Arora) and Mary (Bruna Abdullah) and the prospect of a fling with them. Again, note the names of the three girls and its link with a popular joke that goes around the internet. But, it's all not easy as they have an obstacle to deal with – Principal Robert.

As such, 'Grand Masti' is a fun film, an amalgam of all the jokes usually forwarded on social media or on cell phones or funny internet videos. The only credit it can get is for putting them all together into a film, but none for any original creativity whatsoever. But then, for those people who have issues with adult humor, they better keep away from the film rather than criticize it for those jokes.

Among its three male leads, adult comedy specialist Ritesh Deshmukh does well, while the other two are already past their sell-by date. The film's six glamor girls do a good job of being pretty and an average job at acting. After a while, you wouldn't really care to remember who played what role! And, Pradeep Rawat, don't you remember him from 'Ghajini'? He plays the bad guy yet again!

Verdict: Going by the success of the genre of adult humor, looks like these jokes are here to stay. Indian moviegoers seem to be more accepting of it now, rather than living in denial as they had done for decades. But, since the film lacks originality and made from forwarded humor, you exactly know what to expect. So, those of you who enjoy movies like these don't wait till it is aired on TV because it would obviously be censored. Finding some cheap tickets would help instead.
