Sound leveling is garbage

The sound engineer must have had absolutely 0 idea what they were doing. Even if you forgive the presence of cheesy jump scares they are about 100x too loud. So if you adjust your sound so they don't blow your ears out the EVPs are completely inaudible.

They seem to catch good evidence but the sound leveling completely detracts from the viewing experience.

The editorial style of over dramatic voice overs and brow beating jump scares, which have become commonplace in this genre is not lacking in this documentary. Too many cliches to count.

Otherwise it seems they caught some good evidence.

And Harnois is insufferable as usual.

Creepy violin crescendo and then BANG! Jump scare!

Wow. Let's see how much more creepy we can make this by adding overly loud sound effects. Please please please stop it. I'd like to be hiding in the corner of one of their investigations and make a loud cymbal crash. Overly dramatic voice over by "Prozac". Done with this wanna be series. BONK! WHAM!

Try to stay awake

This is a docu-drama which is somewhere between Blair Witch and an episode of Ghost Hunters. They try to portray this as an actual real documentary, but there are too many EVPs, apparitions, noises, physical interactions, etc to be real. There have been many case studies done in places suspected of being haunted that don't provide more than one or two of these in a week's time of rolling cameras. It may have been worth watching if there had been better lighting so we could see the architecture of the building. I don't think there is a rule that says ghosts only come out in the dark. I suggest looking elsewhere for a ghost story.

"Prozak" tries to be tough

I can't take "Prozak" seriously through the film. First, his name is ridiculous. Second, the gold chain and DG hat is just stupid. Yes, I know he's supposedly a rapper, but do you really need to wear those at a ghost investigation? Also, when he does the narration in between clips, he lower his voice and tries to sound, IDK, scary? Tough? Intimidating? It's just horrible. Speak in your normal voice, dude. While I think they did find some evidence, the presentation of it was just meh.
