A very well made documentary about one of the few French serial killer and his wife who essentially helped and enabled all the horror. They really go into a lot of the sordid details, so it's definitely not for the faint hearted.
Apparently some viewers have complained about the English audio dubbing, it seems they might not be aware that subtitles exist or just can't are too lazy to read them. Giving bad reviews for something like that is pretty sad.
It's too bad, because this show really deserves a watch, even though it's a difficult watch where the worst of human nature is put on display.

Super slow and stretching it out like a lot of docs these days. Really hard to continue watching because it's so dragged out. Do better
Nobody wants to keep p hearing the same stuff over and over. Lost interest due to being in my phone cause it was boring and repetitive
Not sure why I need to leave such a long review. Stupid reall, the truth can be told in much less words
Trying to weed out the bad apples I guess. Otherwise, it's alright I guess but no need to be so stretched out. Unnecessary m, like this review
Why why why do I have to keep typing. Who knows? There are better docs available. Look harder.

This review is not about the case nor should it be. It's about the trivial format of the docuseries. Rehashed ideas now in French. The viewer needs to hear every aspect of the case so you bring in psychology experts who mock the woman and her appearance and mimick her behavior as kids. Then you bring in her lawyer who someone thought "hey let's have a scene of him running with his tights and earphones and next scene smoking outside of court so viewers know he means business". Should have been 1 episode, the rest is taunting the victims for more screen time.
P. S. People who complain about the voice over instead of watching it with subs should have the right of voting revoked from them, I mean come on humanity.

Monique Olivier: Accessory to Evil, France's Rosemary West, she assisted her husband Michel Fourniret in the abduction, torture and rape of young women and girls. Disturbing, graphic descriptions of the crimes. One of the victims was English and a Detective Chief Superintendent is one of the talking heads. Unlike Rosemary but like Myra Hindley West Olivier has after many years helped police in the search for the bodies of missing victims. Some were found. She'll be eigible for parole 2032 but faces further trials. A bit stretched out in 5 episodes on Netflix, it could have been done in 3. Directed by Christophe Astruc and Michelle Fines. 7/10.
The audio had English spoken over French spoken which added nothing to the documentary and was extremely annoying. If not for this it would have been much easier to watch. I would like to know why the film makers did that. It had the effect of sounding like a lot of loud background interference. I just coul not get really engaged because of this. It is a shame because I've not heard of this person before and would have liked to find out more. As of now I'm just watching until I can longer endure the noise pollution of spoken French background noise. I am a fan of true crime this is the first time I have not been able to finish a true crime film.
