Having been made so excited by the news of a new Ghosts episode, the bitter realisation of the duration of this new feature was nothing short of disappointing.
Interrupted halfway through by eye soaring text covering half of the screen, the episode was empty and our beloved characters were lacking the personality we have seen before. Just when things started to get good, BBC ran over budget and cut the 'episode' short.
Realistically, miss Kylie whomever just couldn't get paid enough for a full well rounded episode.
An absolute shame. Especially given they featured a half deceased celebrity hoping for good ratings.

I really enjoyed this short episode.
We're 4 seasons in and we still don't know much about the reason ghosts are ghosts and why Alison can see them, ie the world building of the scenario, but we finally get another person who can see them, and a good back story on why with another head injury tying into Kylie's history.
Kylie delivers on the acting and the other characters bring their game too.
Things could have got interesting with this arc but the close it down quickly and believably at the end of the episode, keeping the mystery going and saving the show the cost of Kylie on the budget. An enjoyable and fun 7 mins.

A short but refreshing meeting with the ghosts. Everyone is in character, though the episode is too brief to show more than the basic glimpse of each. In a way, we see a reenactment of Alison's big talk to the ghosts back in season 1.
Kylie's acting is good. The chemistry between all the characters is nice and makes sense. I'd actually like to see how more of this story in the final season of Ghosts, but it's rounded up smoothly enough to explain why they might never meet again (I suppose affording Kylie as a full-time star is too expensive - she only appeared in one episode of Galavant back in the day, which the characters joked about in the season finale).

A famous pop star arrives at the door to look around, and amazingly she can see the ghosts, one Kylie Minogue.
I loved Fanny's irritation with Kylie, implying that as an Australian, she's obviously some sort of criminal, so funny. The entire reaction to the Aussie starlet was awesome.
The way in which Kylie's ability to see the ghosts was hilarious, will never be able to watch the Spinning around video again in the same light.
If only this has been made into a Christmas special, it would have been great to have this extended, but even at 7 minutes long, it was terrific.
Kylie did a fine job, I think she's a little underrated as an actress.
8/10.
