It's not a spy movie-it's just fantasy, where you're meant to believe every other agency in the world is useless and RAW is the best. They explain the whole story to the audience in just half an hour, and now the movie's characters are telling the story to each other, leaving the audience thinking, What on earth is going on?
War 1 was renowned for its tight and gripping screenplay, but War 2 fell short in this regard. As a viewer, I found myself bored throughout most of the movie's runtime. While there were a few action-packed scenes, they lacked the intensity of letting the main protagonist take a risk and lose the fight. Without this element of uncertainty, the fight scenes became predictable and lost their appeal. For instance, one of the leading heroes performed a stunt that was practically impossible, making it clear that it was CGI-rendered, which reduced the movie's believability.
Another issue I had with the movie was its pre-release marketing. The focus was solely on the bikini scene of Kiara Advani, which seemed completely unrelated to the script and felt forced in its inclusion for marketing purposes. This marketing strategy exposed the bias against female actors, who, despite playing the roles of decorated military personnel, were portrayed as mere seductive pool swimmers.
In conclusion, I would recommend waiting for the movie's OTT release instead of watching it in theaters.

I just got back from seeing it. Overall, I like it
I'll go over what I like first: Hrithik Roshan is cool , likeable, credible, and charismatic. I couldn't picture another actor in his role. I also like the supporting cast members, like Anil Kapoor, NTR, Kiara, and others. The action scenes are, in many cases, well-done. The best scene is the opening scene involving a samurai sword fight; it kinda reminded me of a clip from the John Wick franchise. The airplane scene later on is also thrilling . I'm not usually a fan of the songs in Bollywood movies, but I like the one with Hrithik and NTR
No spoilers - but the movie uses some flashbacks to flesh out Hrithik and NTR's characters. The young actors who play the younger version of their characters look the part. The casting was well done here.
The movie has the following issues: though I like the action scenes most of the time, I didn't like the music blaring in the background. The slow motion works most of the time, but on a few occasions, the effect is cheesy. Some of the characters perform feats that push the movie into Marvel / DC comic book territory; it's as if Hrithik and NTR both had doses of super-soldier serum. Some parts are almost comedy. In the finale, we get a fight scene that occurs in a place that looks like Superman's fortress. In another scene, Hrithik and one of the supporting cast members are getting shot at by many henchman in a parking lot, yet they're able to stand behind a pillar and talk like they're in a cafe
The romance between Hrithik and Kiara wasn't right. They make clear that her father was like a father to Hrithik since Hrithik was a boy. I feel that their relationship should've been more like siblings than husband/wife. It's as if the film just felt that they had to insert a romance subplot somewhere, so they jammed this one
Still - I really enjoyed this one. I'm glad I went to the theaters to see it. I think it's better than the first War movie
8.5/10.

War 2 is a big disappointment despite its hype and star power. The movie struggles with a weak storyline that lacks logic and consistency. Instead of a gripping spy-thriller, the film feels like a patchwork of over-the-top action sequences with no emotional depth. The screenplay is shallow, and the plot never really takes off, leaving the audience disconnected. Even the performances can't save it from poor writing and execution.
Humne unlimited popcorn liye, voh movie se jyada ache the aur voh best part of movie ka tha it is totally unworthy. Okay, so I went to see a movie the other day. Honestly, the unlimited popcorn was the real star of the show, not the film itself. I probably enjoyed the popcorn more than the whole movie experience. What a waste of money, the film was totally forgettable. Seriously, the snacks were the only worthwhile thing!
