The movie is not worth the energy or time to watch. It's a colossal waste of both, and you're better off doing virtually anything else. Let's start with the acting, which is absolutely terrible. They could have hired toddlers, and it would have been more entertaining. At least then, we would have the excuse of watching kids learn the ropes of acting, rather than supposedly professional actors delivering subpar performances.
This movie is a perfect reflection of what the world today seems to favor: content without creativity, effort, or any semblance of originality. It's a mind-numbing experience to witness something that feels like it was churned out without a single ounce of thought or care. The lack of creativity is palpable in every scene. There's nothing innovative or engaging about it. It feels like the filmmakers went through a checklist of generic plot points and tired clichés, making sure they hit every one without any consideration for quality or storytelling.
The fight scenes are particularly horrendous. They lack any form of choreography that would make them believable or exciting. It's as if the actors were told to just flail around and hope it looks good in post-production. Spoiler: it doesn't. The action sequences, which should be the highlight of any film in this genre, are instead the moments when you're most likely to check your watch or start scrolling through your phone. They're slow, poorly executed, and utterly unconvincing.
The main character's acting is another major issue. It's hard to believe this person was cast in a leading role. There's no charisma, no depth, and certainly no connection with the audience. You don't root for this character; you don't care about their journey or struggles. Instead, you find yourself cringing at every poorly delivered line and awkwardly executed scene. This character is supposed to carry the film, but they drag it down into the depths of unwatchable mediocrity.
Don't be fooled by the glowing reviews or the inflated ratings claiming this movie is a 10-star masterpiece. These are lies, plain and simple. Perhaps they're the result of a marketing campaign designed to deceive potential viewers, or maybe they're from people with incredibly low standards. Regardless, this movie does not deserve any praise. It doesn't deserve one star, let alone ten.
In fact, it deserves no stars. Zero. Zilch. It's a travesty of a film, one that should serve as a cautionary tale for both filmmakers and audiences. For filmmakers, it's a reminder that quality and creativity matter, that audiences can see through half-hearted efforts and lazy productions. For audiences, it's a lesson in not believing the hype, in being discerning about where you invest your time and money.
To sum up, this movie is a disaster on every level. From the terrible acting and lack of creativity to the awful fight scenes and the abysmal performance of the main character, there's nothing redeeming about it. The positive reviews are misleading at best, outright deceptive at worst. Save yourself the frustration and the disappointment. Avoid this movie at all costs. It's not worth even a minute of your time.

This is another winner for Bet+!
This fun, action-packed thriller about a dinner party with deadly consequences has good acting, nice scenery, and some great fight scenes. It definitely looks like a much higher budget film than you usually see on cable.
Avoiding spoilers, I'll say this about the plot: a business man plans revenge on people who wronged him. But one of the dinner guests fights back.
Is it perfect? Of course not - no movie is. But it'll keep you entertained from the first minute until the last.
I rated it a 9 because there's no option for 8.5. I also give it extra points for making the most of their budget (this isn't a high-budget Hollywood film) and for the well-choreographed fights.
Would love to see more with the main character!

This film does involve a gripping tale of revenge with a unique twist. The story revolves around an aspiring author who has to rely on her street smarts and martial arts skills to survive a deadly dinner party after discovering the host's vengeful motives. The suspense builds up beautifully, keeping you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.
RSVP does a fantastic job of blending action and intrigue. The last half hour is packed with intense fight scenes, unexpected twists, and non-stop action that keeps you hooked. Despite not having a blockbuster budget, the film's execution is impressive. The special effects might not be Hollywood-level, but they get the job done and don't detract from the overall experience.
The writing is sharp, and the pacing ensures there's never a dull moment. The performances are a standout, with the lead actress delivering a powerful portrayal of a woman fighting for her life. Supporting actors add depth to the story, making every scene engaging and memorable.
Hats off to the filmmakers for pulling off such an entertaining and well-crafted movie. RSVP is a win for its creators and a treat for action-thriller fans. If you enjoy a good revenge story with plenty of twists and turns, this film should definitely be on your watchlist!

This movie was terrible. The plot was weak, the acting was bad, especially from the costars. Robert Ri'chard was not on his A game or maybe the movie just didn't fit his style of acting. He should have turned this job down. He is a way better actor than what he did in this production. I think that's why I kept watching. The special effects were so off and disjointed. The emotional aspect was off-putting and non-existent, which I never thought was possible. The creativity was an over reach. I rated it a 3 for effort but it just doesn't stand up to the standards of a really good black film, or any film. I understand budgeting and there is a cost, but there has to to be a better way. The actors are trying to hard to be believed. I applaud the attempt. The last scene, at the house, not necessary and book signing scene was too long.
RSVP is a 2024 thriller that blends high-stakes drama with action and mystery. The film follows an aspiring author who must use her street smarts and martial arts skills to survive a deadly dinner party after discovering the host's vengeful motives. The movie has garnered mixed reviews, sparking debate among critics and audiences.
On the plus side, the action sequences are a highlight, with well-choreographed fight scenes that keep viewers on the edge of their seats. The lead actress delivers a strong performance, adding depth to her character and making her both relatable and tough. The cinematography also stands out, using lighting and camera angles to create a suspenseful and eerie atmosphere.
However, RSVP isn't without its flaws. The story suffers from noticeable plot holes and pacing issues, with slow moments between action scenes that disrupt the overall flow. Additionally, the supporting characters lack development, feeling more like plot devices than real people. Despite these shortcomings, the film is worth watching for its action and lead performance, though it may leave you wanting more in terms of narrative cohesion.
