Anecdotes
The real-world dispute between Greece and the Republic of Macedonia is mentioned in this 2012, with the imagined solution being to call it New Macedonia. It was resolved in a similar way in 2019, but the name was North Macedonia.

Gaffes
At the end of the episode, Sherlock says the bees should not be able to produce offspring because they are different species. That is not correct. Different species can produce offspring (for example, a mule), but the offspring will be unable to reproduce (mules are sterile).

The Truth

Excellent finale to a surprisingly good first season. I really didn't know what to expect when starting this series.

Well written, directed and executed by the company of actors. Looking forward to start season 2. A shame I didn't see the show when it was on the air.
