Helldivers II

Tons of fun! A great squad game for ages 13 and up. Calling down barrages and strikes from your own ship is so fun and the gameplay is amazing. The devs are great at listening to fans suggestions and comments and continue to elevate their game in outstanding ways. The missions are always engaging and action packed. The Major Orders are so unique in this game because the entire player base fights to complete it together, allowing the player to feel more involved in the game. The game continues to progress by completing these major orders, always bringing new things to do, new enemies to fight, or new weapons to use. Highly recommend!

Helldivers 2 is probably the best multiplayer game since Towerfall Ascension. First of all, the bile titan in the room. This game is a satire, and it's not hiding it. Just look at the trailers. You'll see.

The community is actually pretty nice as well, something rare for popular multiplayer games. In all my hours of playing, I haven't encountered anybody I would consider toxic.

Gameplay wise, the game is awesome. Really (Redacted because IMDB doesn't like profainity) awesome. Friendly fire is always a welcome addition, and helldivers makes pulls it off expertly. Fighting off hoards of fascist space bugs who totally aren't just minding their own buissness until we started killing them for OIL is a blast.

At its core, Helldivers 2 remains true to the essence of its predecessor: fast-paced, cooperative gameplay set in a hostile, procedurally generated universe. Players take on the role of elite soldiers known as Helldivers, tasked with defending Super Earth against the relentless onslaught of alien threats. What sets Helldivers 2 apart is its seamless integration of new features and improvements, enhancing every aspect of the gameplay experience.

One of the most thrilling aspects of Helldivers 2 is its emphasis on cooperative gameplay. While the game can be played solo, it truly shines when experienced with friends or fellow Helldivers online. Working together to complete objectives, coordinate attacks, and revive fallen comrades creates an unparalleled sense of camaraderie and achievement. The game's seamless drop-in/drop-out multiplayer functionality makes it easy to join forces with other players, ensuring that the action never stops.

This game literally came out of nowhere and has absorbed my free time. It's the first game I have played in years in which I actually have fun. It is so good that I have pulled my friends back after so many months to fight for Super Earth.

The community in this game is absolutely incredible. They have a great sense of humour and are willing to help anyone in need of assistance.

Despite the rough sever launch due to immense player counts, which have since been solved, this game has the potential to be a very early on GOTY.

If you are considering buying this game, I couldn't recommend it more.

Helldivers 2 delivers a thoroughly enjoyable experience from start to finish and is a must try for everyone! While the gameplay can feel repetitive at times, it consistently maintains the adrenaline-pumping thrill of surviving relentless enemy hordes and sometimes even our own stratagems.

The game shines both in solo play for those seeking a challenge and in co-op with friends. Personally, I've had a blast jumping into SOS missions with random players. Despite occasionally encountering less cooperative teammates, the overall experience is incredibly rewarding-working together to overcome the odds fosters a real sense of camaraderie.

I do hope future updates bring more diverse objectives to keep the gameplay fresh. That said, the developers deserve praise for their model: everything, including warbonds, can be unlocked through in-game currency, making the base game feel like a complete package. While I'd love to support the game further through DLC, their approach to fair monetization is commendable.
