Yun Wei Shan is not your typical spy - she's layered, filled with complexities, and yearns for a life beyond deceit and disguises. Her infiltration into the Gong residence is a mix of suspense and profound character development.

The house itself, with its secrets and dangers, is brilliantly portrayed. Gong Zi Yu, the rebellious nobleman, brings in a fresh dynamic. Their relationship, though starting on rocky grounds, evolves into one of the series' strongest points. The narrative is mostly tight, though some episodes feel stretched.

The cast performs admirably, with the leads showing a wide range of emotions. While some secondary characters feel underutilized, the main storyline keeps the viewers invested.

Overall, "The Journey to You" is a recommended watch for those who want a drama that offers more than just romance and action. It's about growth, discovery, and the choices we make in the face of adversity.

Totally worth the watch! I am surprised how little I've never heard of this drama until I watched it.

The plot is innovative, the romance is subtle and without the standardly overused c-drama tropes; and due to the censorship in China it is, of course not physically explicit.

It has impressive acting, leads and supporting roles included. The fights scenes are well-balanced, eloquent, and entertaining. Great overall visuals and cinematography.

I do have an issue with the ending, which is too open-ended and unsatisfactory. I believe the characters and storyline deserved a better ending, and there is currently no season 2 planned or even being whispered about.

Other then that - a great piece!

I'm very curious about who the leader of WuFeng is and what will happen between Esther Yu and Linnghe Zhang in the future! Will Esther Yu choose to betray WuFeng, or will she choose to help WuFeng?

I do love the director's works, and this My Journey To You seems to be more in line with the current aesthetic than the ones made a few years ago. Not only are the male characters very handsome, but the female characters are also pretty and bravr. The director Guo Xiaosheng is good at capturing the emotions between two people, whether it's love or affection, and it always gives me a deep feeling. Whether it's the main characters, or the minor characters, they all have their own stories and I felt the whole story line is rich. And some of the scenery in the show is so incredibly beautiful that it could even stand alone as a landscape movie. Really enjoy watching it.
