The Traitors Canada

I have only discovered Traitors this last 2 months so am doing the rounds from England. The Canada version is excellent, the host is excellent, gorgeous with a sinister smile thrown in here and there but not too much and not to little, she hits the right balance.

After watching the UK, USA, NZ, Ireland and AU versions I can safely say the Canada version is way up there with the rest, its almost 10s across the board for all of them imo.

Genuine friendships and even family bonds are put in the balance within the 1st episode, before you know it, they're dropping like flies, even in plain sight, but who has betrayed them to the point of death? The game is set, the paranoia is almost as high as the panic attacks and anxiety. The perfect game is playing out in someone s favour. Watch it.

Love the shows concept and the contestants, but not the host. The host was not the greatest for this role, kinda the opposite of kreepy. Other hosts in international versions were much better suited for the role.

The venue also didn't have the best decoration for a murder game show. The castle itself was a nice idea but I feel like they decorated it like a nursing home, or my grandmas house.

Lastly, I feel like the prize was a small amount for what the contestants are being put through, this goes for the US and UK version aswell.

In the end this is a great show concept and I do hope they take suggestions to heart because I see great potential.

I have watched most of the traitors, including Ireland UK and US. I love Alan Cummings in the US version but let me tell you Karine Van Ness is a superstar. Her costuming and wardrobe are insanely detailed and when she is on the screen, I usually pause it so I can look at her outfits. On top of that, she has a great accent and just that little bit of a mean streak to where you know she's gonna keep those faithful and traitors on their toes. I love watching the faithful and traitors, each plot with alliances backstabbing and throwing each other under the bus. It's very dramatic and high energy and a wonderful show to put on if you wanna relax and be entertained.

I was actually excited this year & I applied and for once it felt like regular people finally had a real shot. I didn't get selected, which is fine, I was still looking forward to watching the season. But then... it's the same rotation of reality-TV regulars again. The same contestants we see on every other show. What's the point of opening applications to the public if you're just going to cast the same TV personalities anyway? It's disappointing because a lot of us applied hoping for something fresh and normal, not another season full of micro-celebrities playing yet another game.

I couldn't disagree more then the review that didn't like the host. I've watched all the different versions of this show and she was by far the best. She was witty, clever and didn't put on a phoney accent. She also didn't place herself in front of the show but part of it. I hope there is a season 2. The US version's host was fake, obnoxious and condescending. He placed himself as the primary person and the show was all about him and his "sparkling" personality. Prize money isn't an issue as the players obviously agreed to the terms. Human nature revealed was the theme of the show and it clearly shows how self interest wins over a team effort. Paranoia between players was quite amazing with players afraid of becoming the next target among the "faithful". Great show overall.
