Suicide Squad Isekai

One of the things I'm sure that people might be thinking is if this is just a cash grab series like the video game Kill The Justice League, which ended up being hated by many fans. I think it's safe to say it kinda is but in a good way. The truth is the Suicide Squad sells and I'm not surprised Wit Studio and Warner Bros decided to try to capitalize on this. It's definitely a lot better than the game. Harley is very much a mix of the classic version and the new version. Clayface, Peacemaker, and Deadshot are all entertaining to watch. And Kingshark is basically always eating people which is pretty funny.

The voice acting is good and the music is energetic and fun. The story itself isn't super complex but theres some interesting world building and the characters are definitely entertaining to watch. The animation is good, something that Wit Studio has always done pretty well with. It's not going to be the best anime of the year, but it's not going for that. The writers are making this for easy viewing and entertainment. It's pretty good overall and I recommend to anyone wanting to just watch something fun and laid-back. Not everything has to be serious, sometimes a little Isekai with Harley Quinn is all you need.

Give it a go, it's worth it.

I truly was hoping I would be able to side with the high reviews for this show, but it's just so awful on every level. The animation is bad, the voice acting is bad, the story is bad...it's all bad. I speak Japanese so after the first episode I switched from the English version to the Japanese. While this did improve things it just wasn't worth it for me to hang in on this one. The intros and outros are blatant rip offs of Cowboy Bebop. The only positive I can give it is the artwork/style of it is sleek and nice to look at but a bad show is a bad show.

I gave up 3-4 episodes in. If you know nothing about Suicide Squad or decent Japanese anime you might enjoy this.

Highly recommend for any Suicide Squad / Peacemaker / Harley Quinn fans

I'm shocked DC opted for such good animation considering their style(s) prior! This storyline looks promising and really opens up the door to getting to know the characters personalities. It wouldn't be worth a damn without some really decent fight scenes and dashes of humor peppered throughout.

The characters are all enhanced and their powers are stronger, even non metas, due to being in another world so I can't wait to see where they take this. If the anime style isn't your get down I would still recommend trying out the first 2 episodes and decide from there bc I think you'll be pleasantly surprised how enjoyable it is.

The only good thing about this anime is the drawing (not the animation).

It blends a bit of the classic Harley Quinn that old-school fans are used to with the modern style that was made famous by Margot Robbie.

In general, the voice acting for all the characters so far is well done. The story is decent though ultimately it's the humor and crazy antics of the squad that make it an entertaining series.

Overall, "Suicide Squad Isekai" is a fresh and fun take on the franchise, well worth a watch for fans and newcomers alike. I say give it a shot!
