Transylvanie

Not a sequel nor a spin-off, but a rip-off, a movie highly inspired by Brian De Palma's work. This short story uses the horror - vampires - pretext to speak about bullying among young people. Plus, it takes place in a suburb ghetto. So we could say it is a social horror film. Not bad, but too short for such a plot. And it could have been better, told in a different way. From several years now, bullying is a serious problem in French society, and maybe not only French, so be prepared to watch such topics more and more in the future. It is pretty interesting to speak about this problem - where many young folks commit suicide - using BUFFY movies fashion.

A little girl finds in cemetery a dead rat. Her conviction about her vampire nature seems confirmed and , in some measure, helps her against bullying of older young people. But, for one of boys, the feelings of Eva are more than noble and , imortal being , she need to have a good company.

An obstacle to this version of happiness and a radical to brutal measure. The final, pretty enigmatic to open , provokes the viewer in nice manner.

A film about bitter realities from suburbs , about thrill of love and protection against abuse, about loneliness - in Eva s apartment no parents , in the house of boy , only presumed presence of grandparents. In short, more than interesting.
