My grandmother used to feed me by telling the story "Kabuliwala" when I was around 3 or 4 years old. I had that imagination in my mind since then. Now I just visualized my old imaginations through this movie. The way Suman Ghosh directed this short story is totally tremendous, and he cast the perfect people for each role. Mithun Chakraborty-what a versatile actor. And Anumegha, at such a young age, gave such an admirable preformance.
Thank you to everyone for creating such a beautiful tribute to Rabindranath Tagore by bringing this timeless story to the screen.
Watch it to experience soulful storytelling and feel nostalgic.

My Review of #Kabuliwala ::: Director #SumanGhosh has brilliantly made this #RabindranathTagore written short story.
#MithunChakraborty & #AnumeghaKahali has acted brilliantly. #AbirChatterjee, #SohiniSarkar, #KanchanMullick, #SumitSamandar & #GulshanaraKhatun has performed well. #SubhankarBhar has cinematographed well. #SujayDattaRay has edited crisply. #IndradeepDasgupta has musically knit the film well. #SVF & #JioStudios had made this joint venture successfully. During the first half of the Film, you will be relocated to any Kurdish environment with the beautiful camerawork of the cinematographer.

Mithun chakraborty is realy versatile actor.. and his expression outstanding.. direction,Background Music, acting, song, everything is super... I don't watch old kabuliwala but this kabuliwala excellent.. and abiir chaterjee realy well play acting in this movie, and this movie is very emotional... when you see this movie. You literally crying. And every actor well performed in this movie.. and director great direction... I think this is best bengali movie after many years.. and I don't know thus child actrees name.. but she was best performing in this movie.. I think this movie deserve national award and also mithun chakraborty deserve national award..
A truly fantastic movie - does great justice to the masterpiece written by Rabindranath Tagore - a timeless classic. Mithun is superb in his role - as expected from an actor of his calibre but is well supported by the entire cast at every step.
In an age of mindless and nonsensical cinema across the country, this was a very welcome relief. A general appeal to the public, please support more such cinema to stop the current degradation in the general quality of movie-making in our country.
Kudos to the effort put in by the team to recreate this classic and doing it so well - deserves appreciation and praise.

Kabuliwala, an adaptation of short story of Rabindranath Tagore which depicts an emotional bonding between a five years old Bengali child with an Afghan Kabuliwala. Mithun Chakraborty has played the role of an Afghan Kabuliwala, Rahamat. Mithun in one word eats the role. His depiction as Rahamat is extraordinary. He has shuttered the performances of great Chabi Biswas and Balraj Sahani who times to time portrayed the same role. Last ten minutes is brillant when Mini on the date of her marriage can not recognise her very own Kabuliwala whom she maintains an eternal bonding of loves in her child hood. Last ten minutes are so much impactful, you can remember it for immortal times. Direction and music are good. Other co actors justify their roles. But again 74 years old Mithun proves , he can justify any types of role. Really Mahaguru can only justify creation of Kabiguru.
