A great family entertainer. Characters are very relatable and well presented. The movie is a poignant exploration of the complex bond between two siblings, each grappling with their unique psychological challenges. The film artfully delves into the depths of their individual struggles, showcasing the power of understanding and connection.
At its heart, "Friday night plan" revolves around the contrasting personalities of its main characters, Sid and Adi. Sid, portrayed brilliantly by Babil, is a young man plagued by crippling indecision, his life marked by hesitation and fear of making choices. In stark contrast, Adi, played by Amrith, exudes confidence and a devil-may-care attitude, often overshadowing his brother. The cast do justice to the roles.

Friday Night Plan is a sweet teen comedy where two brothers plan to attend a Friday Night party organized by their classmates while breaking the one condition their mother put in before leaving for work i.e. Nobody gets to touch the car. What happens on this wild Night and how the two brothers bond with each other forms rest of the story.
Usually I am used to watching films based on such stories from the west than in Hindi and on that front, it does deliver, without going too crazy. The brothers characters has been well written with elder brother Sid (Babil Khan) bogged down by the thought of his responsibilities and younger brother Adi (Amrith Jayan) who is much more jovial, immature yet responsible like his brother. They are the ones who hold this film together till the end.
The humor is organic and the scenes don't go overboard to generate humor. Though it is all predictable with the jokes revolving around prom, a wild party involving booze and a kid desperate to look cool among the seniors, the screenplay strikes perfect balance with the humor and the emotional scenes. It's a feel good film in the end and the way the issue is resolved is in sync with the film's tone.

Friday Night Plan (streaming on Netflix) is a coming-of-age comedy film about two teenage brothers, Siddharth (Babil Khan) and Aditya (Amrith Jayan), who team up to attend the hottest party of the year after their mother leaves for a work trip. The film follows the brothers as they navigate the ups and downs of their first big night out, all while learning more about themselves and each other.
The film's strongest asset is its cast. Babil Khan and Amrith Jayan are both excellent as the bickering brothers, and they have great chemistry together. Juhi Chawla is also good as the boys' mother, and she brings a lot of warmth to the role. The supporting cast is also solid, with Ninad Kamat, Medha Rana, and Aadhya Anand all giving admirable performances.
The film masterfully balances humor and heart, filled with numerous laugh-out-loud moments intertwined with touching emotional scenes. It offers a realistic portrayal of teenage life, capturing the awkwardness, excitement, and uncertainties of adolescence through believable and relatable characters. Central to the narrative is the celebration of brotherhood; the bond between Siddharth and Aditya serves as the film's emotional core, making it delightful to witness their relationship deepen as the story unfolds.
The film's direction is also effective. Vatsal Neelakantan does a good job of capturing the energy and excitement of the night out, while also providing some touching moments between the brothers. The film's screenplay is also well-written, with plenty of laughs and heartwarming moments.
If you are looking for a heartwarming and funny film about the power of brotherhood, then I highly recommend Friday Night Plan. ...

High school drama in bollywood has always been a bit exaggerated but not in this film. This new age drama is filled with a bit of realism and innocense. There's a touch of sibling love, family, friendship, and love with a hint of drama and comedy. Although they haven't delved much, it's just enough to keep it short and sweet. The charm of the characters and the hilarity of the situations they find themselves in make up for it. The film also has moments of heart and sincerity, reminding us that even in the midst of chaos, there can be genuine connections and personal growth. Although it's a one time watch, it leaves you with a smile as the credits roll.
Friday Night Plan🤝 Karwaan.
TLDR- Wholesome entertainment which will put a smile on your face
From the general feels of the movie to the music to just the feel good nature of the plot, Babil Khan shows that his dad's (Irfan Khan for context) acting blood flows through him. But it's not just that- Babil also adds his own flair of subtlety plus panache (oxymoronic but see the film to understand why)- which is very much in tone with the film. With strong performances all around- from Amrith Jayan playing the perfect younger brother to Babil's big brother, and the rest of the cast also giving just the right amount of impact for their roles- all done very gently and nothing becoming overbearing, this is an example of a film that shows that what matters most for a film is a solid plot, and characters that the audience can connect with. Solid plot, simple and beautiful dialogues and likeable performances do indeed make for a good show. And the music on top of this- the entire thing just feels like one big warm hug.
