This is probably one of the worst shows on TV. Why is her mother on the show all the time. They should rename the show Mary and her mother. I have stopped watching her show, as it is getting really stupid. She is getting dressed like some kind of clown. Wish they would replace her with someone else. Get rid of the mother. Also, she just talks too much and it is all silly. I thought we were more intelligent in Canada. Obviously not at this network. Marilyn Denis had so many wonderful people who came on the show that could have taken over and not this clown like person. I just wish they would choose another host. I am sure people have stopped watching because of her silly little girl antics. I know I am done.
Mary berg sucks! She is so over the top and gross. Totally needs to be replaced. I'm losing weight having that show on before lunch. Please get rid of her delish veg gloop go away. Seriously she is terrible. Having to write six hundred characters is a stretch to describe how terrible Mary berg is. Shall I go on and on. She makes up stupid words and is so unreal or even slightly realistic so unfortunate some one decided she was TV worthy. The fact you make this a minimum number of words also sucks - it only takes a few words to say the truth Mary berg sucks and should not be on prime time TV in Canada.
I do like Mary's personality but there is only 8% (and that is generous)of the population that are vegan and there are too many of her shows presenting vegan food. She is obviously biased toward vegan food and doesn't eat meat on the show after saying how wonderful it is. I turn it off more often than I watch it now.
I also think she has had enough time to improve her vocabulary. She uses the same words again and again such as "what a delight" and many more repetitive words. I used to watch most of her shows and now I find I'm turning the show off more than I am watching it.
I'm still hoping things will change .

I am trying once again to watch Marg Berg but it is truly painful. She is constantly saying mmmm...mmmm...mmmm... after each comment a guest makes. I'm not sure why she would constantly be saying this into the microphone. It is really difficult to watch this show. How has no one told her she doesn't need to say that after each comment. It is the most annoying thing on the show amongst others things. Is her mother and husband a part of this show. It is very strange and I really miss Marilyn Dennis, so much more professional. Is this the best you can do on this show. Can we not see real chefs and not see their mother and spouse on every episode.
I enjoy Mary Berg and rooted big time for her during Masterchef. I've always been a fan and follower of her kitchen talents, cooking and successes. I don't compare her to Mariyn Denis, but sometimes I must tune out. The show is a bit too hyper.
I hear the intro of shrill screaming and over-the-top high pitched slapping hand greetings to the audience of "Hi-yah !!!!, Wow-ah!, Look at you-ah!, Love your dress-ah!!!". The Ah! Is grating on every last nerve. Sounds a bit like middle school.
Mary, in my opinion, needs to expand her vocabulary and phrases. If I hear; 'amazing, perfect, beautiful, nice, etc' in the same tone one more time with a lillted or raised end, I may scream.
Other repetitive phrases like the term 'little babies'; Place these little babies, put these little babies, space out these little babies, pop out these little babies, bake these little babies, etc. Or 'It's a good thing!' and "I'm not gonna lie" are used so much, it's hard to listen to over and over and over again. I could stand to improve my own language skills myself, but I'm not on national TV. It has though made me more aware of the way I speak.
With expert guests or show regulars (home design, hair, makeovers, fashion, fellow chefs, outdoors, etc.) and during their explaining their segments, I feel like she can't help but say yah, beautiful, amazing, perfect after every one of their sentences. If she thinks that something is funny, which doesn't take much, she does the Yah! That then connects immediately into a shrill, long laugh that overshadows her guests basic statements. Yah,hahahahahahahahahahaha! I wish she knew she could just nod her head in understanding and not vocally contribute 'YAH!' or the never ending laugh after every comment. Seems unrefined with all the Yah-Yah-Yah-Yahs. Even a proper 'Yes' would be refreshing.
The hair sweeping her eyes and not up or back when cooking is a bit of a turn-off as she's a beautiful lady and could set an example of kitchen hygiene. I also like Mom Myra, but she's on an awful lot. I get that she's close to her and provides comic relief.
Mary is a sweet, wholesome presence and is full of great tips, has great recipes, and the show has good guests. Personally on my own TV watching, I'll give her some time to develop and grow. I support Canadian Television (particularly CTV) and this is a slot I enjoy at home, but I have to admit, I'll sometimes mute it due to all the over-the-top uneccesary shrill laughing, never ending voice blurts from Mary after every guest's sentences. It's said that hosts of shows have professional skills where they know how to listen and not to talk non-stop. Let the guests speak.
I have faith in Mary learning the ropes in a professional manner. After all, she's a kitchen chef, not an experienced host of a lifestyle show with a lean toward fun kitchen stuff. I'm not seeing any improvement in calming the show down a few notches, but I'd like to see an easier to view show.
