I watched the movie "Dheeran"* and really enjoyed it. It's a fun-filled film that made me laugh a lot something we've been missing in recent Malayalam movies. As a new director, Devadath Shaji did a great job. The story, character development, and presentation were excellent.
Being from a village in Idukki I could relate to many of the characters in the film. The performances by Ashokan, Sudheesh, Jagadheesh, and Manoj K Jayan were amazing they truly lived their roles. Even "Anuraga Singam Thajjjam Thakajam Actor Vineeth who played the comical villain, was entertaining and suited the film's mood.
As the lead, Rajesh Madhavan delivered his career-best performance. His body language, expressions, and even his dressing perfectly matched that of a real village bus driver. His emotional scenes were also well done.
Sidharth Bharathan and the actress also did their parts really well. And the charcter Dixon Kuttanpuzha was too good exactly I know a person same like him, superb character and acting. Overall, Devadath Shaji has made a brilliant debut, and I look forward to more comedy movies from him in the future.
However, I felt that the Tamil villain character could have been stronger , and the music could have done more to lift and elevate some scenes
Still, it's a must-watch movie that guarantees laughter, really enjoyed..I would give it a 9.5 out of 10.

A comedy that struggles to find its footing. The first half felt like loosely connected sketches; plot arcs are disjointed and the jokes felt too contrived to elicit attention, let alone interest. While the narrative tightens somewhat after the interval, the weak foundation means that it's hard to care much about the conclusion.
The film is carried entirely by its veteran supporting cast, whose seasoned timing in slapstick moments made them easily the more watchable element, though expected given their pedigree. Technically too, it's unremarkable - visuals are functional and the soundtrack is generic filler typical of the genre.
Ultimately, for a film rather ambitiously named "Dheeran", it's so meh. The core execution is too uneven and uninspired to resonate, and is already out of your system by the time the credits roll.

I enjoyed this movie, and some scenes were genuinely hilarious. Moreover, the creators have worked really hard for this one, and this is easily noticeable from this movie.
The core plot was fine and the actors were living on the screen. Casting is the main highlight of this film. The film is happening in a village in Ernakulam district, and I'm not sure everyone realised that- kudos to Devadath for setting up the film in a location like Panichayam, which was an apt location for this movie.
The second half also went beyond my expectations. The comedy timings of the actors were perfect and it's good to see actors like Manoj K Jayan, Ashokan getting a role where they can bring out their true calibre.
Once again, good job, Devadath.

Dheeran starts off on a confusing note. The film jumps into emotional scenes without properly introducing the main character, which leaves us feeling a bit disconnected. In the first 30 minutes itself, there are several different plot lines, making it feel like a puzzle we're forced to solve.
Each character seems to have their own story to tell, which is interesting but also adds to the confusion early on. However, the movie manages to connect all the dots by the end of the first half. Surprisingly, the second half begins with a fresh storyline, giving a new direction to the film.
Some of the situational comedy moments do land well and add a bit of fun to the mix. But at the same time, many of the emotional scenes feel flat - they try to touch the heart but don't quite succeed.
This is not your typical realistic Malayalam film. It blends fantasy with realism, which may not work for everyone. What really helps the movie stay engaging is the chemistry between senior actors like Ashokan, Jagadeesh, Manoj K. Jayan, and Sudheesh. Their scenes bring a sense of familiarity and charm.
The villain's character was meant to be dangerous and powerful, but the actor couldn't quite pull it off convincingly.
Overall, Dheeran is a fantasy-realism mix that doesn't always hit the mark. If you're bored and looking for something different, it might be worth a watch - but don't expect a typical emotional or realistic Malayalam movie experience.

A fun slapstick humour story blending the performances of the veterans and young gang of Malayalam.
The story revolves around the title character Dheeran and how he regains his lost regards from his near and dear ones through a ride of chaos and confusions forms the nutshell of the story.
Devadath has narrated the story of Dheeran and his relatives with peculiar character shades mixing humourous moments and subtle dialogue delivery giving ample laughter moments. Hats off to the team for bringing the ensemble cast on screen with their versatile performances and humour timings. The filmmaker has given a decent entertainer to enjoy on screen but has left a vaccum inside showing some minor flaws in the screenplay with nothing to take along or recollect other than few funny sequences, rushing to conclude the story leaving the audience monotonous in few areas.
Good performances from Jagadeesh,Manoj K Jayan,Rajesh Madhavan & Shabareesh & Sankar Dayal. Ashokan,Vineeth,Sudheesh & Aswathy gave incredible performances through their gestures, quirkiness and dialogues.
Good shots by Harikrishnan with nice BGM's by Mujeeb Majeed and good sound design by Vignesh & Rajakrishnan.
A simple one time fun to watch humourous entertainer with some progressive and old school thoughts.
