Secrets of the Hells Angels

Now I love seeing a good biker series as much as the next guy. However the issue with this series is that it's just wrong. Right from the start they tagline it as "Hells Angels are the biggest and baddest biker gang too ever live." 100% wrong. To date the Hells Angels have around 2,300 patched members. The Vagos have over 4,000. Not only are they just as violent and dangerous as the Hells Angels, but by all accounts far more so. So as where the stories in this series are relatively true, their depiction of the standing of this gang is not. And that's a huge distinction because the Vagos was also main chaptered in California. Which means when they keep talking about, "The Hells Angels had a blood fued with the Mongrels because they owned California." That's a complete lie, they didn't own anything except in their hopes and dreams.

3/10 don't let the hype become your reality when making a real series.

Well like others have previously stated how inaccurate this is, I should have listened but no me being me rather than take the word of someone who had watched it, I decided to watch and yes they were right. The episode about their one time leader sonny barger and woah how can a so-called journalist sit there on camera and lie as when they talk about the students protesting the Vietnam War and the journalist states oh sonny with his proud military veteran background took offence to them, err WHAT, he was in it for 14 months and never saw any kind of action I said right enough lies and cant watch the rest, you think in this day and age with info like that so easy to find out they wouldn't.

Not well researched or accurate, especially hit men episode concerning presidents of clubs and truth of Doyle and Donnie Soke relationship and murders. Tom Padavick was NOT the president of a chapter of HA it was his BROTHER EUGENE, Tom Padavick was NOT convicted of murder in 79 it was June of 86 and for murder of his wife as told by Crouch the informant, Donnie RECANTED at least TWO of his confessions and only agreed to the publisher and wife murder because Doyle took him to see his dying mother from jail on a routine basis and recanted then testified against his father because he thought he had a deal to GET OUT, there was another suspect that lived in the neighborhood they disregarded, RESEARCH FOR YOURSELF.

This well made series does take you on a very dark journey into a grim world, where loyalty to the gang takes precedence over morality, decency and adherence to law.

The access is extraordinary as the gang members are sworn to secrecy and very few have ever spoken publicly because of the risk of retaliation. There are also contributions from law enforcement officers using every resource they have to infiltrate and arrest any criminal members. A fascinating duel.

The episodes cover murders, drug dealing, rapes, gang fights and many other crimes over the course of many years. Certainly not for the squeamish or faint hearted...

I'm sorry, but this is comic book garbage. There is nothing glamorous about outlaw motorcycle gangs, quit making these shows to try and dispel that. Oh here's an idea, let's find some old guys with no lives relive the glory of their 1% days forty years ago. Tiring and pathetic. These guys dealt drugs and mindlessly killed people, let's try not to hold them up for new generations to idolize. OK, need to come up with 600 words for this review? Not sure why, few people read more than headline and first two sentences of review. Perhaps this is to show people are really committed to have their opinion get read.
