Excellent movie !!!

Excellent action scenes !!

The movie gives a very good and positive message. Anushka said her role as Sheelavathi is very different and has many shades. She shared that the film took her out of her comfort zone, and appreciated how director Krish dealt with a sensitive topic like ganja in a responsible way, while still keeping it as an action-packed and entertaining story."

Ghaati is a one-time watchable film with average story, average music and decent cinematography. Krish's vision is ambitious but the execution falters, leaving the narrative weaker than expected. However, the saving grace and the absolute highlight is Anushka Shetty as Sheelavati - a once-in-a-generation performance. She completely owns the screen, carrying the film on her shoulders. For fans, it's mass entertainment; for the general audience, it lands as average.

Second half filled with mass action sequences and it worked out very well. @MsAnushkaShetty nailed it to the core. Her screen presence It self is worth the ticket.

Anushka what an actress she is. She carried the whole movie on her shoulders. Reason why we call her Lady Superstar.

The eastern ghats is ruled by Kaastala Naidu and Kundulu Naidu through their cannabis smuggling business. They force the Ghaatis to work as labourers. Sheelavathi is a bus conductor and is in love with Desi Raju, a lab technician while both belong to Ghaati community. They used to work for the Naidus and gave up after being caught by the police. Liquid cannabis has arrived in the market, cultivated by a new player which irks the Naidu brothers. They want to eliminate the competition and it turns out to be Desi Raju. What happens when the Ghaatis dream of having their livelihood and will Naidus allow them? How does Sheelavathi get to fight for what's right, forms rest of the story.

The film starts on a decent note, introducing the cannabis trade and how Ghaatis are used. Then it shifts to a mellowed down introduction for the lead pair and soon the pace drops. The narrative definitely needed to be far more commercial for this script and this very screenplay remained devoid of any highs. The sole elevated scene remains the one revealed in the trailer and that's about it. Logic goes for a toss and the film stays confused about it's approach in making an all out actioner and stay loyal to the world building. This impacts the characterization of all the main characters big time. The entire third act drags on and on with the shift in Sheelavathi realizing her purpose. Krish faltered here in balancing the action scenes and preachy scenes. Overall, Ghaati remains a dull affair and is devoid of entertainment.

The basic idea of the plot may have had potential, but there's absolutely nothing new here. Story development is poor and riddled with clichés, while the narration follows such an outdated template that you can predict almost every scene. The second half, in particular, is downright unbearable.

On the technical side, production values aren't impressive, cinematography feels weak, and though the music is okay, the action sequences are overloaded with unnecessary violence.

Performance-wise, Anushka gives her best, but it often comes across as overacting. To make matters worse, the VFX work used to slim her body and enhance her face makes her look oddly artificial-almost like a different person in some shots. Chaitanya, cast as the villain, doesn't fare any better; both his looks and performance fail to convince. The rest of the cast follow the same overdone tone.

Overall, this film squanders whatever little promise it had. Unless you enjoy clichés, artificial performances, and loud action, I wouldn't recommend watching it.
