Excellent acting, touching real life drama and filmography. Authentic and convincing. 10/10. The Polish can act brilliantly, direct superbly and write a compelling storyline that will keep you on the painful edge of your seat. Real docudrama. True and very sad. A testament to great courage in the face of a human mess :-( watch it on Netflix in the original Polish language with subtitles. Scripted flawlessly against the distaste unfolding before your eyes.

A powerful, gripping series that, in addition to providing excitement, also provokes reflection on responsibility and integrity, including towards oneself.

The scenes of the maritime disaster are convincing and terrifying, yet they avoid sensationalism.

The acting is solid and believable. The characters are not mannequins reciting lines, but real people with their virtues, doubts, and flaws.

The music complements the picture without being distracting.

The visual depiction of Poland in 1993 is credible - I write this as someone who remembers that time.

As a former merchant mariner (deck officer in the commercial fleet) watching this series was a very personal and emotional experience for me.

Scenes picturing the catastrophe, it's dynamic, fatal chain reaction of events in a dramatically short time made me literally cry.

Stories of the real-life people who lost their relatives, mixed with stories of the survivors and those who were involved in the events are developing in a pace that won't let You stop watching.

A masterpiece.

A very interesting representation of the political reality in Poland, in the early 90's. One could say that it's the Polish version of Titanic, presented in raw and gloomy tone that also well reflects the scenery. The Baltic Sea feels hostile and full of mysteries - Jan Heweliusz is definitely one of them. Not without bias, but an 8 is guaranteed here.
