Un/Dressed

Not all movies are about the dialogues or thrill - this one is about the feels. I've given it a higher rating just to make it at par. People are very judgmental. This movie deserves a watch, and it is not for someone looking for a thriller, amazing plot twists, or layered storylines (there are plenty of movies in that category).

The correct tags for this film would be erotica or dark romance. That's it. I love the acting (all characters). The female lead is a strong character who sees her life in her business but is surrounded by people she cannot trust - people who want to use her for their own benefit (her fiancé, her father, her grandmother).

She meets this bodyguard who reads philosophy, fights ferociously (both in his personal life and in the boxing ring), and makes her feel very secure. In turn, she also makes him feel empowered through her relentless pursuit of her dream (designing for Margo) - a dream that is at constant risk due to the wrongdoings happening in the business behind her back.

Their interactions, the influence they have on each other's lives, the music, and yes, the sex - all of it makes this movie an intimate wholesome watch for a date night with your partner. I found it better than Amazon Prime's Culpa Mía.

No pun intended - ah the irresistible hot male ... with a sketchy background and all that ... a bad boy, that can be tamed ... well that is not all she wrote (wait was it even a she who did the script?) ... there are nuances and the relationship develops over time ... not to mention other stuff that can be added to it.

Also I have to admit, I thought this would go a different direction .. it is not just an easy story about adultery ... there are more factors that make this worth your while. There is nudity in this if you are wondering - not sure if that helps in your decision making.

Acting is decent and there are many characters and all relationships have a meaning - there is no coincidence to call it what it is ... a decent thriller then, with erotic elements attached to it ... tailored to your needs? Well that is for you to decide - also no pun intended.

This is supposed to be the first erotic thriller for Amazon from Germany. The result is total boredom. Apart from that, pretty much everything about this erotic thriller is unsuccessful or so irrelevant that it's just a waste of time. There's nothing exciting about it. The story is reminiscent of a bland ZDF cheap movie. Very, very bad. There is also zero eroticism between the actors, who make an effort, and the director should look for a different genre. The characters are all replaceable, boring and half-baked. The same goes for their relationships. They never seem natural or at least halfway believable. The final stab in this lousy movie is the thin, horrible music that lies like a plastic carpet over all the scenes. Interesting what comes out of the Amazon lab.

Don't waste your time. I did unfortunately.

I was really disappointed, unfortunately. I usually like the actress and the actors and I think they would be great if the movie was a different one.

First of all, where is the thriller? There is nothing really scary. There is no crime or thriller really hooking you. Yes, some things are in the unknown but for what? What's worth continuing to watch it? What for? Where is this going? Also, the link to the characters is too weak so that you want to continue watching because of them. Give your audience some better teasers.

Second of all, they jump right into eroticism but don't give eroticism time to build up in the first place. And then it's just randomly placed all over without any content.

Talking about great sex - I feel like the author did not understand eroticism at all. The story before and the chemistry and attraction is way too thin based on the story. I mean, yes, you can meet someone for the first time and it can be a one-night-stand with a lot of attraction but there needs to be some kind of bond. The actors don't play it badly but it's just badly written. It needs more time or more story to build up. It's like the author watched too much (bad) porn... and then on top of it, misses out on all of the thriller. I can recommend reading studies on the ingredients to great sex (e.g. Cited in "ist das normal" by Melanie Büttner or a research study by Peggy Kleinplatz)

Also, I feel sorry because a good actress has been misused for a porn movie.

I have been very excited about it and it's just so sad.

Still hope that Lena Meckel can show what she can one day in another movie. I guess she could be a good actress if you give her a different plot with more text and depth. The movie is just not catching at all.
