Kijin Gentôshô

Honestly, this anime has a good storyline with many unexpected plot twists, but unfortunately, even though it's an action fantasy anime, the action scenes feel lacking. It's more like a PowerPoint animation with just zooming in, zooming out, panning left, and panning right. In my opinion, episode 21 is the worst, far inferior to Dororo in terms of action. Honestly, it's a real shame that the studio behind this anime didn't put in the effort.

Believe me, I've watched more than ten thousand episodes of anime and read as much manga as I can, but this one is so much of a masterpiece. I never thought an anime would be so much my type. It's rare that I feel an anime from the bottom of my heart. It could have been of higher quality and the art style would have been more creepy if it had been more detailed, but the story is like a gift to me, a fan of dark fantasy and drama. I hope the quality improves in future episodes. Since I haven't read the manga, I really enjoyed it. I hope more anime in this genre will be made and given more attention. Sorry for the bad grammar.

A breath of fresh air compared to other anime, its different in many ways but still manages to connect with the audience. The plot seems simple at first, but as the episodes go on more is revealed and it thickens. The main character is goated and the setting and music is also nice. The fights could have been a bit better coordinated but still only 4 episodes have aired , so we might get to see it later. Theres also a sense fo mystery of the world, since not much is known about anything, but the series does a good job of giving us more every episode

Definitely the best anime of 2025 spring, give it a shot!

"Kijin Gentoshou" is a series I can't recommend to everyone.

It's slow, has average animation, and many might even say it's boring.

However, there's something about it... it's not a dark "Kimetsu no Yaiba," no, it shines with its own light.

But it's contemplative, it takes its time to tell the story... but when there's a plot twist, it's impossible not to react.

The first episode itself is a declaration of interest; the length, animation, the plots, and the final outcome left me feeling drawn in.

Later, Jinta's story, told over the years, is a delight. It shows you the inexorable path of a half-demon, who is immortal but still has the flaws of any human.

There are plots, like the one about the invisible demon, whose ending left me broken.

There's the arc of the samurai and the demon trapped in the loop, or even the ending of Jinta's father, which are very sad.

However, even though I think it's a story with tremendous potential, it's hard to get into. As I said, it's slow, boring at times, and has average animation.

I'm not trying to change the pace, which for me is a fundamental part of what we're watching; however, it couldn't hurt to have a little love.

I'm eagerly awaiting the next batch of episodes to see what's in store for us from here on out.

I went in with no expectations, but I was completely blown away. The way the lighting is done, the backgrounds, the movement-it's on a different level. There's this almost film-like quality to it that makes you feel like you're not just watching an anime, but experiencing a whole world. It's got that high-production value feel that really elevates the whole show.

Even though it's only the first episode, the story already feels rich and full of potential. We're introduced to a world where demons are real, dangerous, and clearly tied into the history and mythology of the setting. The vibe is kind of dark and mysterious, but it doesn't feel overwhelming or confusing. It's the kind of slow build that makes you curious. I love that it doesn't try to dump everything on the viewer at once-instead, it gives you just enough to keep you watching and wanting more.

Now, I'll be honest-the action scene in this episode wasn't mind-blowing. But I also get that this is just the beginning. It wasn't a major battle or anything, more like a small confrontation to give us a taste of what's to come. It felt more like a setup than a full-on showcase of what the series can do. So while the action wasn't the highlight yet, it's clear that the potential is there. And given how incredible the animation is overall, I have a feeling the bigger fights later in the series are going to be insane.

What really stood out to me was the tone and pacing. It doesn't rush, and it respects the audience's attention. The atmosphere is thick with tension and curiosity, and the characters-while not fully fleshed out yet-already seem interesting. I'm especially curious about the main character. You can tell there's a deeper story to him, and I'm excited to see how that unfolds.

Also, the soundtrack? It's subtle, but it works really well with the visuals. It sets the mood perfectly without overpowering the scenes. That kind of attention to detail just adds to the cinematic feel I mentioned earlier. Everything from the sound design to the camera angles feels very intentional and carefully crafted.

Overall, I'm genuinely impressed. It's rare that a first episode makes such a strong impression, but Sword of the Demon Hunter pulled it off. I can already tell this is going to be one of those shows that people will talk about. It's got the potential to be something really special if it keeps this up.

In short: animation-top-tier, absolutely cinema. Story-promising, intriguing, and just getting started. Action-not the strongest part yet, but there's so much room for it to grow. And the overall vibe? Dark, stylish, and totally immersive.

If you're on the fence about watching it, just go for it. Even if you're only mildly into fantasy or supernatural anime, this one is worth checking out for the visuals alone.
