I dont normally watch movies with less then 20 reviews because theres usually a reason for that but I'm glad I went ahead and watched this one. The suffering isnt goin to be a cult classic and wont be on anyones top 10 but its worth watching, had a good plot, had decent actors, and good cinematography and for a horror movie these days those 3 things alone make it better then half the stuff out there. Would deffinatly recomend this one for a lazy weekend when you wana see somethin new but dont want to take a huge risk.
I had no expectations of this movie. I had never heard of it and came across it as recommended on a web site. I am a big fan of supernatural horror movies, and it's always nice to come across something a little out of the ordinary. Won't give away any spoilers, but the basic premise of the move is a man with a pregnant wife, goes away to evaluate an old mans large estate out in the middle of nowhere, and strange things happen. Could be anyone of a 100 movies right? But it develops quite nicely as it goes along, if a little slowly in places. The acting is pretty good, with some nice cinematography to carry it through. The one thing that I found let it down, was the story line became muddled in places, and certain, quite important facts, were just vaguely mentioned in passing. This may well be down to bad editing, which can always wreck a perfectly movie, but this one manages to just drag itself above average, hence 6 stars. A bit more pace, and a bit less editing, could have been 8 or 9.
I can't believe virtually nobody has even heard of this movie. The suffering takes place in an old estate, where the main character Henry has been hired to appraise the property. In the opening scenes you can't shake the feeling something is off. The dialog, music, and sound effects come together in just the right ways to produce a unique creepy atmosphere to this movie.
As the movie progresses you encounter some good jump scares, a deeper complexity to the main character, and a great story line. The ending of the film is good, I honestly didn't see the twist coming until the big reveal at the end. I've watched this movie a couple times since I first watched it,the story line doesn't seem to lose appeal to me, and I've even found a few things I've missed.
I'm glad I stumbled upon this movie, it easily became one of my favorites.

A man is brought out to a huge estate for a property appraisal. After a few days the man starts losing his mind as he finds the place full of secrets and very unsettling things. The man who hired him keeps offering more money to do the job in order to keep him there longer. He soon finds there might be no escape.
This flick was a major slow burner. It does build up to a trippy ending, but you might not have enough patience to find out. The subject matter gets a little deep as well so if you're not in the mood for a heavy flick, steer clear of this one.
Nothing exciting but there are a few creepy scenes and a whole lot of wondering what'd really going on.
5 bottles of peroxide poured into a gut wound out of 10.

The beginning of the film was creepy and had all the hallmarks of a good horror or mystery. Unfortunately, it becomes jumbled with too many story lines crammed into one film. It's worth a watch for the atmosphere and creep factor. It doesn't feel like a "B" movie so not a bad way to spend a few hours.

- GaffesAfter he suffers a blow to the head at the stables, the main character has a bandage on his forehead, on his right side. But later, when he is shown asleep in bed, the bandage is on his left side, and then immediately after reappears back on his right side.
