Barista is a five-minute 'coming attractions' trailer for a faux low-budget slasher, set in Roscoes Coffee Bar and Tap Room, where a disgruntled employee (played by Lizzy Walther) violently punishes those regular customers who unreasonably demand that she adapt drinks to suit their particular needs.
It's a fair enough attempt at making a grindhouse style movie trailer, director Zack Parker shooting on 16mm and employing old-school editing techniques (no computers used), the result bearing all of the analog imperfections one might expect, but in the end, it all feels so 2007 (I guess that would make it retro retro).
