Since there's a few unhelpful reviews, I figured I'd leave my two cents to give those interested a fresh take.
The show touches on significant themes such as sex, teenage relationships, domestic violence, and the potential for grooming, so viewers should be prepared for some heavy topics.
From the title alone, it's clear that the show revolves around the concept of chastity, but it delves much deeper into the complexities of teenage relationships. We also knew this from the trailer & premise of the show. It's not blind siding the audience at all. If it triggers you, why watch it then?
It feels similar to that of Netflix's Sex Education, but Chastity High takes a more serious approach. Instead of quirky lessons in sexual education for an English audience, the show is made in Japan, where love hotels do exist. Sexual & fake love relationships are readily accessible & out in the open in Japan. I've been there twice, I have family there, calm down. I know what I see. So this doesn't deviate far from the norm at all, but the school rules do seem excessive, at the same time Japanese school rules usually are excessive and strict.
Anyways, the TV show focuses on a character who "protects" the romantic lives of her peers, but with a catch. This concept feels fresh, even if the execution isn't flawless.
I don't often watch Asian dramas anymore because a lot of them can be cliche, if you catch my drift. Chastity High was refreshing to say the least. As someone who doesn't often watch Asian dramas due to their often cliché nature, I found 'Chastity High' refreshing. It's not without its flaw. There are moments when the story drags, and some characters blend togethe, but it accurately portrays the ups and downs of teenage love and growth. These relationships, while often fleeting, play a crucial role in personal development, and the show captures that well.
I didn't binge watch it in one sitting; it's the kind of show that benefits from breaks due to its pacing. However, it kept me engaged enough to return and finish it. The character development was a highlight, though a bit more distinction between some characters would have improved the experience.
Overall, Chastity High may not be groundbreaking, but it's a thoughtful and decently accurate portrayal of teenage life that's worth watching nonetheless.

Despite its flaws, the series delves into relevant modern themes, set against the backdrop of a strict school environment where romantic relationships are forbidden. It explores the emotional struggle of navigating a romance while concealing true feelings, all under the pressure of rigid rules and societal expectations. The story masterfully portrays the tension between personal desires and external constraints, offering a compelling narrative that resonates deeply. Despite its imperfections, the series captures the complexity of love and connection, making it worth watching and reflecting on.
Only those who do not know how to admire the theme of the work would not know how to evaluate this series.

Im actually only writing this as a response to the ridiculously negative reviews. The negative reviews have got to be from boomers, or maybe hyper-conservative folks, either way they have no idea how the real world works. They're the ones crying about sex scenes in popular media i presume. Newsflash, high school kids have been having sex since.... forever. Also important to note, there is literally only one single sex scene in this series. Apart from one, everyone always has their clothes on, the sex is simply implied. I know i'm on my high horse here but i have a problem with people leaving bad reviews just because they're mad about the subject matter.
Anyway.... this show was entertaining! I have a short attention span personally but i actually watched the whole thing. It's a japanese high school romance/drama fighting the powers that be, and they told the story well. Kids wanna love who they want but the school says nuh uh, chaos ensues. What's not to like? They even wrap it up nicely, which is something most shows definitely mess up nowadays. People may disagree with the main protagonists actions, but that's adolescence baby, even fully grown adults make mistakes, kids are allowed to mess up too. If you love love, then i recommend this show.

It was inappropriate and full of sexual content, i watched the first and second episodes with my sister thinking that its a good highschool series like the kdrama the hierarchy , pyramid games etc , i ended up watching a japanesse version of elite , so disappointed to be honest . This serie is broadcast internationally on netflix meaning everyone will watch it and it does not promote anything good at all ! I just stopped watching because i couldn't handle what im seeing relation between the teacher and the student ! Blackmailing each others what kind of morals this gonna give to the young people watching this.
The show had a great premise but for the sake of drama it messed up a lot of things. The pace was kinda slow. The initial premise of "love-keeper" was great but they added a lot of side stories that felt like fillers. Maybe those will be useful in the coming seasons(if netflix don't treat it like it's others shows) but removing those from the show would've helped the pacing a lot. The love stories were a hit or miss. This Show Had a lot of love triangles that I was actually confused in the end about who ended up with who. Acting,Art direction, Cinematography and Music was flawless in most cases. I know this show would not feel appropriate to many people specially adults but as a teenager I enjoyed it.
Overall it's a show that doesn't do anything great but fun to binge in a weekend.
