A comic sprinkled, light hearted thriller. GVM has adopted himself well to the tone of Malayalam Film Industry and audience, I must say in terms of directing, as story belongs to someone else's. One should forget about GVM's tamil works.

His signature direction touches have been brushed here and there throughtout the movies. I admire Mammookka for his fitness and something people can get inspired from.

The characters in the movie did their job nice and neat. Everything from story, screenplay, music, acting, camera work and editing were just the right amount. A good watch, it left me with a pleasant feel.

It's a beautiful movie with a crazy twist at the end. It's a must-watch film!! So I did some background research on the cast and to my surprise there was no mention of the actor who plays Karthik. He was not mentioned or seen in any of the films post-interviews and is not credited. If anyone has any answers to this please reply.

GG Gautham Vasudeo Menon's Malayalam debut as a director, Dominic and the Ladies' Purse, is an above-average investigative thriller that is let down by its generic writing. The humor works very well, and Mammootty's character stands out with unique traits that could surely be explored further. GVM keeps the film simple, which both works and doesn't work at times. The sync sound is slightly distracting, while the editing is well below average. On the other hand, the cinematography is good, and the songs are enjoyable.

Mammootty shines throughout the film. His charisma as Dominic makes up for film's shortcomings, ensuring you're entertained from start to finish. Gokul Suresh's character has little to offer but does a decent job with what he's given. Viji Venkatesh provides good support, while Sushmitha Bhatt delivers a decent performance as well. Rest of cast fails to make any impression. Overall, the film ends up being just an above-average thriller but its Mammootty which makes it a fun watch.

OVERALL - 7/10.

So this Malayalam flick helmed by our guy Gautham Menon is basically a mystery-investigation ride with Mammootty donning the detective cap. The promo vids gave that away anyway, no big spoilers.

Story vibes? It's got some fresh toppings but yeah, a lot of recycled Malayalam and Hollywood flavor in the mix. First half? Slow af, but the comedy keeps you awake. Second half? Twisty turns incoming-some you see coming, some hit you outta nowhere. Not as draggy though. And the climax? Bang on!

Gautham's direction? Slick and clean, man's still got it. Mammootty and the squad? Killing it in their roles, no cap. Music's meh, but that final song in the climax slaps hard. The visuals and production design? Chef's kiss.

Bottom line? It's like ordering a solid above-average pizza. Not groundbreaking, but tasty enough. Just don't walk in with sky-high expectations, and bring a lil patience. You'll walk out chill.

Once again mammootty and mammootty komapany deliverd a quality filim.

Domnic, the private detective always have a smile in his face. Domnic the sharp detective having a lot of problems in life. Filim started by sketching how the life of domnic and later the story started gripping as mentioned in the title, a ladies purse. Gokul suresh played a super character and well maintained timing and have a grear judgement towards screenplay. As an actor i never felt gokul as a good one like his father, but in this filim he kept the right track pace throughout the filim.

Songs was good and one drawback is backgroud music. The team need to focus more on working in a investigation thriller.

Overall i liked yhe movie.
