How is this the same filmmaker who made The Sixth Sense? Artists usually get better with experience.
The writing made me cringe out a kidney. Josh Hartnett does his best, but even his charisma couldn't save this dumpster fire.
Mr. Shyamalan needs to surround himself with people who tell him "no" once in a while. It wasn't scary, it wasn't funny, it wasn't suspenseful. It honestly felt like very expensive gift for his daughter who plays the pop star. Her vocals are decent, but an actress she is not. Was nepotism the only problem in this film? No. But it didn't help.
Save yourself the ticket price and go to Chipotle instead. Both will give you the runs, but at least one will temporarily satisfy you.
