I've been a huge fan of this show since the very beginning. I worked for a UK Law Enforcement Agency that investigated online child abuse so this was interesting to me and I've seen the seedier side of life. The stories used to be very good, but now the stories are getting tired and non-sensical. Captain Cragen rarely went out to investigate but Olivia is there all the time. The whole team only has one crime at a time to investigate.

With the amount of 'empowerment' crusades this series is starting to battle and the increasing amount of crazy storylines, I'm starting to wonder if Mariska Hargitay knows she isn't really Olivia Benson? There are so many things wrong with each episode it's becoming a joke.

I really enjoy this series, and it's been very good for a very long time - but this episode is one of the recent outings that seem more like propaganda than a realistic portrayal of the system. This episode seemed to be part of an anti-porn crusade. Even worse, everything seemed so unrealistic. The writers tried to turn non-crimes into crimes and blame the watching of a single porn video for a extreme outcomes. The series is very enjoyable most of the time, but it's not fun to watch when it's clearly unrealistic in an effort to push a crusade. I noticed the last few seasons have had similar issues - unrealistic events focused on catering to certain crusades - but it has actually been so long since I've seen one of those episodes that I almost forgot. I'm definitely still on board with the series, but I wish they'd stop with nonsensical stories aimed at pushing a moral panic narrative.

This new season started well and it's had some interesting stories but as I go move forward through the episodes I feel like they gradually become unrealistic.

The writers were clearly trying to push something with this episode and it just didn't work. I feel like they're slowly becoming less interested with writing a good story than pushing some sort agenda. In this case it was an anti-porn movement.

The episode started with a young couple experiencing sex for the first time and as a first time experience, stuff didn't go as planned. As soon as I saw the detectives were trying to pin a death on a man for showing his son a porn video? That sounds insane. Like it what world would that even be possible? Just ridiculous and a terrible ending with the dad making an apology to the media. Do not recommend.
