The North Witch

I watch my fair share of b horror movies. While most are just retelling of the same four or five stories, this movie has a unique storyline. Yes this movie would have been better with a higher budget. But that's true of most movies on Tubi. I would watch this movie again.

This movie blends several archetypes - part "cabin in the woods", part "haunting" and part "trapped in a location". In this way it feels familiar without relying on a rehashing of simply one of these concepts. It can feel somewhat disjointed at times; however, I believe this is intentional.

And despite what other reviewers have said, I'm in no part affiliated with this movie in any way, shape or form.

This is definitely worth a shot if you like folk horror. The lines were long, the service was great. I'd recommend the lobster bisque. My fiance and I put this on randomly without looking at any reviews and it was pretty good! Not as bad as everyone here is saying. Had some pretty spoopy moments! You're lying if you say otherwise!!! I'm pretty judgemental about cheese ball scare tactics in horror movies. Anyway, the depiction of the witch was really cool and the actress did a good job. Wasn't perfect but not terrible at all!!!! There's much worse out there, trust me bro. Just watch it. Maybe with some Ben and Jerry's.

Do NOT let this rating fool you! I'm guessing the high ratings came from people who made the film because there is no way anyone has willingly rated this higher than a 1 after actually watching it!

This movie makes no sense. Like, there is actually no plot. You're introduced to a bunch of characters at the beginning. A group of girls, who you think will be the main characters of the film. Well, all but two of them continue in the film, we are given no reason as to why or where the other girls go. Then your given a film of two girls in a cabin...where nothing makes sense, no story, bad acting and you're just staring at this film that is a bunch of shots put together that make absolutely no sense and questioning your life choices.
