BeBe Winans' We Three Kings

The story is a vehicle to perform a few songs here and there. The story is mostly about the three King sisters mourning their mother's death three years earlier and taking it out on each other and anyone else who gets in their way. Abigail is already married and we learn early about her disappointment that her latest pregnancy test was negative. She doesn't tell he husband right off. Gracie is a doctor in another city. Lydia is an orchestra pianist, apparently quite good and well known. She is also in another city. The latter two get called home when BeBe falls and breaks an ankle. Both of them quickly meet a guy who inserts himself into their lives. You would think that most of the story would be about the romances, but really more of the story is about the sisters taking out their grief on each other.

BeBe uses an old family tradition to force the girls together to work it out. To me it was clumsy, especially one critical factor which he doesn't bring out until the end.

Don't take my star rating too seriously because it is mostly based on the fact I'm not a fan of the musical style for most of the movie. That's not a criticism. It's a preference.

The acting is good enough, but I think most of the main actors are singers. They have talent.
