This series strapped me to my chair for hours on end. Yes, I finished it in one sitting. I originally didn't want to watch this for several reasons: I tend to dislike historical dramas and I fear time jumps since they usually ruin everything. This series was in fact better than I could've ever expected. It reminded me a lot of To Sir, With Love. Except even better. The time jump at the very, very end was absolutely perfect, it ruined nothing. Don't fear it.
The acting is absolutely phenomenal. There was never a moment where I questioned the acting in this series, I actually praised it right off the bat. It was all so natural, especially the actor for Saenkaew, his tears fall with such beauty.
The quality of this series is impeccable. The relationship dynamics are even better. They're complex, and enraging, and absolutely romantic. From the first time Saenkaew and Sasin met, the chemistry was pouring out of my screen. Pin, in the beginning was adorable, in the end she earns my respect to say the least. Saenkaew, Sasin and Pin were the most present, but then there is a couple that should be talked about more, Saenkaew's uncle and aunt. They were a perfect match for each other. Crazy any loyal, they had true love for each other.
The plot of this series has no holes. It is beautiful and I would change nothing. It is mature, emotional, and beautiful. There were so many romantic quotes in there, some of my favorites are from Saenkaew, "Even if it's hell and Sasin is waiting for me, I'll still go." and "We can still meet in memories."
If you want a series with angst, if you want to cry, if you want to laugh, if you want to smile, if you want something unforgettable- then this series is for you.
