Funny Movie!!!

I saw this at a screening in Maryland, and given the low-budget, I was extremely impressed. Not super scary, VERY FUNNY, and family friendly. Professional quality film-making, the screen writing was witty and sharp, and the casting was perfect all-around. If you get a chance, check it out, I highly recommend!

Great Family Film

Teenage Ghost Punk is goofy fun that you can watch with your whole family, including Grandma and the little ones. The story itself is appealing but the quirks and lovable nerdiness of the characters are what make the film. The teenagers in the movie look like real high school students - a refreshing change from the usual airbrushed 25 year- old actors we usually see in "teen" movies. The adults (who also look their age) are stereotypes but they're presented in a tongue-in-cheek, good natured way so everyone is in on the joke. Gen Xers will especially enjoy the 1980s musical references, and anyone who has ever lived in the Chicago area will notice a few cool features. Overall, I give this film a top rating because it is real and fresh and nerdy - unlike 90% of the overly slick and formulaic nonsense out there.

Teenage angst meets punk meets the after world

Hello, Hilarity meets Haunting! What a fun (and funny) film! The combination of teenage angst, the not-so-dead, dead and punk rock music is a recipe for some nutty spookiness that is easy to watch, entertaining and full of mysterious whimsy. The characters are original, endearing and believable; the setting (Oak Park) feels like everyone's favorite hometown. Quite honestly, the writer and director, Mike Kramer, created a story with a winning combination of sincerity and satire that we hope becomes a cult classic. I know we'll watch it again, probably next Halloween!

Wonderful Family friendly FILM

I thought that the movie was a delightful film with the young actresses/actor stealing the show. The adults seems a little stiff and yet the kids had great acting skills and seemed to be very genuine in their performances I particularly was impressed with the performance of Grace Madigan. She seems so natural when she delivered her lines. I do hope that she is seeking a future in the theater because she sure has the talent for it. Glad I discovered the film and will pass the title on to my friends..especially those with teenage children

Fun family movie with a good underlying message

Why do movies about ghosts and seeing dead people have to be scary? Do you ever wonder how quickly our loved ones cross over "to the other side" and how ready they are to do so? This is a fun family movie that brings the living and the non-living together - talking, laughing, partying, and learning from each other the lessons each one needs "to move on." You want to be scared? This is not the movie for you. Do you ever wonder about the hopes and dreams of the individuals who lived and died in your neighborhood over the past generations? Watch this film!
