Before its premiere, the short went viral on Internet after a promo still frame where Mark Justice was dressed in his Green Lantern costume. The picture was heavily compared with Ryan Reynolds' suit in Green Lantern (2011) to highlight not only the difference between Reynolds' suit, created using CGI, against another created using practical effects, but the difference in the amount of money used to make them.
