I expected more
On paper, Ballerina Assassin sounds like it could have been fun: a mix of elegance and lethality, with a ballerina who trades pirouettes for pistol shots. Unfortunately, what ends up on screen is neither stylish nor suspenseful.
The film struggles with tone-it wants to be sleek and artsy but lands somewhere between cliché and unintentionally comical. Dialogue feels forced, choreography of both the dancing and the fighting lacks fluidity, and the plot holes are hard to ignore. One in particular had me shaking my head:
If you overhear someone giving an order to kill your friend, what's your first move? In real life, you'd grab your phone and call them immediately. In this film, however, logic is tossed out the window-characters make baffling choices just to push the story forward. It breaks any sense of immersion, leaving you rolling your eyes instead of gripping your seat.
There are a few decent visual flourishes and the lead actress does her best with the material, but overall Ballerina Assassin feels like a missed opportunity: too implausible, too poorly stitched together, and far less thrilling than its title promises.
Unless you're a die-hard fan of the "so-bad-it's-good" category, you might want to skip this dance.

No where close to John Wick
Poor acting, more like a B western. The effects were very amateurish, I have seen better on tick tock. Super glad I did not pay full price for this video. I do not know how they could even think this was even in the same ballpark as any of the John Wick movies. Guess they thought it would pull enough people in before the reviews tanked it. I should of read the reviews.
Cheap ripoff of ballerina
Within a minute I realized I started the wrong movie. The poster focussed on the Ballerina part of the name and his the assasom part, hoping to lure people in.
The acting is just terrible, and the "sniper" in the first scene can't even hold a riffle straight and is trembling harder than most adult toys.
The movie was clearly made as a clickbait for the John Wick spin off.

Reminded me of Movies I made as a student in Jr/Sr High
This movie was so terrible Im willing to write a warning for other possible viewers. I liked the dance class scenes, but my background sports were swimming, gymnastics, & piano, not ballet! I also could tell the main actress tried, but the combat sequences, dialogue, & overall very low budget feel... *shudder*!
It reminded me of a movie I helped make as an assignment in 7th grade, but with a few decades of improved technology & better props.
This movie got 3 stars as I was feeling sorry for its cast & was generous.

Who let homeless Liam Neeson make a movie
Sometimes my girl and I watch terrible infomercials for sheer comedy. This is in that realm, they should have just leaned into it. Genuine laughs had, though unsure if intentional. You are in for a treat with the lasers scene, that is peak cinema. If you are in for a well thought out cartel vs authority movie you should possibly skip this one, but if you can appreciate horrendous casting and z grade martial arts choreography then you may add to the suspiciously high ratio of 10/10 ratings from the US region.
