Incredible well done
This was very well done. Hearing the heartfelt stories from Ozzy, Sharon and his kids was beyond touching. At the same time seeing one of my rock heros in such fragile health was heartbreaking. It was a true testament to his influence and the respect he garnered to see so many others want to perform with him in his last days. To be quite honest it brought me to tears several times. RIP Ozzy!
Britains Rock Legend
Omg im broken.. i cried and cried, such a heartbreaking story but what an amazing life this man has had.. what an influence he had on so many people, such respect he received from all around the world... what an absolute legend. Thank you Ozzy and sending love to all you Osbournes. What an amazing tribute this documentary is but I really wish it was longer then again that would mean me crying a lot more...loved it so much x.
The Agony of John Osbourne: The Human Story of the Prince of Darkness
What makes this documentary difficult to watch is that we all know the ending.
The wounds of losing a music icon like Ozzy are still fresh in our collective minds.
We've been allowed inside the Osbournes' lives before, but the mood is much different this time. Over the course of a 4-to-5-year span, we watch John-not the mythical "Ozzy" Osbourne-deteriorate in front of our eyes.
If you've ever endured a chronic condition that leaves you feeling good one day and terrible the next, you'll watch empathetically as Ozzy tries to return to the thing he loves: music.
In this attempt, you'll also see just how powerful, healing, and truly motivating music can be to the human spirit.
James Hetfield delivers a poignant quote that embodies the film's central arc in the days leading up to Ozzy's final show: "It's gotta be difficult when your mind wants to do what you've always done because there's no doubt the spirit of heavy metal lives in Ozzy Osbourne ... but your body is telling you, 'I am just so done'... that's gotta be a very difficult position to be in ... and I will get there one day, I'm sure. And I don't know how I'm going to handle that either, so, again, Ozzy is cutting the path for us."

A clean bias from me
I can't abide sycophants.
But this man... I amongst half a billion others, thank the motions of causality for producing such a thing.
He's not an ideal, he's not heaven sent.
He is... the best example of an insight and love that forms order from our collective, psychic chaos.
And he served for half a century.
Thank you Sharon. Thank you john.

How much do you love music?
If you love music then you'll love this. If you don't... well, you know the rest.
There were some tough moments in the beginning of this documentary. Moments that as an aging musician were hard to experience. Those of us who bought and played records and tapes and who played in our first bands in the 80's are coming to terms with getting older and the changes in our life. It was hard to watch Ozzy and also a grim reminder of our own mortality.
Yet the direction they went with it was a lesson for us all. Keep the music we love as an important part of our lives because it keeps us who we are no matter what's going on with our health.
We all knew what Ozzy said was true. He never would have made it to 40 without Sharon. In a way this was an opportunity for Ozzy to reaffirm his love for her to all of us who've known him for so long.
I'm left with the thought of why it took so long to induct Ozzy as well as so many others into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I hope the right people are paying attention to that plea from the film.
