"Episode 3 of Dexter: Resurrection solidifies the season's momentum with intense suspense and masterful storytelling. Every scene is meticulously crafted, keeping viewers fully engaged and on edge. Michael C. Hall delivers a brilliant performance, perfectly portraying Dexter's complexity, intelligence, and inner conflict. The writing is sharp, balancing dramatic tension with intricate character development, making each moment meaningful. Cinematography and direction enhance the storytelling, turning each scene into a visually striking and emotionally charged experience. This episode demonstrates why Dexter's revival continues to captivate and impress audiences worldwide. 10/10."
Once again, as with the first two episodes, I'm struck by how much the fun and the funny are back. Perhaps because they were so lacking in the dreadful 'New Blood.'
Even Michael C. Hall seems to be having a much better time-I know Dexter is!
So far, so good, no extremely annoying Deb (Jennifer Carpenter). Instead, we get a lot of screen time from the very enjoyable Harry (James Remar). Even Jack Alcott (Harrison), whom I could not stand in 'New Blood,' is born-again watchable. Newcomer Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine (Blessing Kamara) is a delight. The only clunker is Kadia Sarah (Det. Claudette Wallace). The character is something out of a Russian spy movie and would never, ever be a NYC detective. Unfortunately, the actress is as annoying as the character.
Then, when it couldn't get any better, we take a trip back to Miami and meet up with Angel (David Zayas), Quinn (Desmond Harrington) and Masuka (C. S. Lee).

The show has been off to an amazing start. It feels like watching the old Dexter again. New blood made him look sloppy, stupid, make a lot of mistakes and completely go against the Dexter we knew. Resurrection is putting things back to how they should be. Smart characters making smart decisions. Characters making mistakes and doing things that make no sense is just a lazy way for writers to get themself out of a box. This show goes back to what made Dexter an amazing show. Cold, calculated and smart. The reunion of the legacy characters was also great and sets up what will be inevitable later on in the season. Just an excellent episode and excellent start to the show so far.
After three episodes Dexter is back as if he has never been gone. It is concerning how good this show is and how near it comes to the original. Yes, the Miami 2000s look is timeless and can't be copied. But New York works stunningly good for Dexter.
Brilliant as he explores the city by uber driving. He hunts down his victim old fashion like back in the old days. Something Dexter New Blood did not give us.
Michael C. Hall is over 50 by now and has updated his character to a new version. Dexter is now a father and a bit more on safety. But it's still the Dexter we love. They did not change his character to the worse like so many sequels nowadays.
By killing his first victim since New Blood Dexter finally is back. Resurrected indeed. And that just in three episodes alone. A masterpiece. Clyde Phillips is a genius.

In this episode, he really shined and got the hang of using his own name. I think he did well. He will meet new serial killers and I wonder what will happen. I hope it will be very good this season. I liked this Dexter series, it is very good actually. But Dexter is an iconic series, they are doing a great job, I am waiting for it too, when will Brain Moser come out, there will be 1 or 2 episodes, it will be 1 hour full with Dexter.

- AnecdotesDexter uses the name Dr Patrick Bateman to receive the M99 - Etorphine - from another doctor. In American Psycho, Dr Patrick Bateman (played by Christian Bale) is a banking executive who hides his alternate psychopathic ego and serial killer tendencies from the outside world.
- GaffesDexter refers to Ronald Schmidt as "Red" before entering Schmidt's apartment and before anyone has said the nickname to him. There is no scene showing Dexter learning this information from any source, making it unclear how he could know the nickname at that point in the story.
