70% of the show was catered to old people and reminded me how out of touch this felt. Seeing fat Busta Rhymes trying to dance fast was amazingly cringe with his old fat mates and the mixes could have been better. Mariah Carey moving slow on stage as she was gonna break seemed unworthy, specially in a skin tight thing. Ricky Martin was good but I don't get the mixes, maybe the best mixes already been done and now they don't want to sound like a copy. Ozzys tribute was great thou.

Very weird to not play the nominees song for more than 2 seconds so you don't know if it's good or not as a viewer. Millions of people discover new music at awards show but they really made it hard.

As a fan of Yungblud for 6 years now I am so proud of how far he has come and the amazing performance on the VMAs to honor Ozzy Osbourne! Pairing him with Steven Tyler was epic and very refreshing to bring the rock element back to a show that, while they made an effort to have many different genres, is mostly overshadowed and light on true rock in the format.
