I actually really liked it! It's a tough watch in the sense that the film is very heavy with a lot of a bit disturbing elements if you know what I mean? That's not a bad thing at all. Probably what you were going for.

Feels a lot like something Lynch would make at his craziest. A sequence from Inland Empire for example.

All of the technical aspects were done really well for doing everything alone! It was shot, directed edited very well and the sound design and music was great.

It was a hard film to make sense out of, but if I were to give it a try it made me feel like it's based around a captured soldier of war or maybe a trapped soldier and his final moments trying to get away from the situation, and basically him kind of going insane. Idk tho, you tell me what you think of my take.

Overall I really liked it! Wish it was on Letterboxd. I rarely give star rating to films made by my mutuals or just other young people trying to create art in general, but that's only if I didn't like it that much. I could honestly see myself giving this a 4-4,5 stars! It's great!

I personally find this to be Uno's best short. The experimental visuals in his style was quite nice, reminded me a lot of the earlier work of David Lynch. Not exactly copying, but Uno added his own flair. Music and sound was a nice touch too, adding to the atmosphere built around some establishing shots that occur early in the film. I think Uno really shines in surreal/analog like film styles as it gives him creative freedom to tell the stories he wants from a more visual standpoint. Very cool film. The aspect ratio too adds to the almost analog horror feel that Uno captures with his visuals. Would like to see Uno tackle analog horror one day with a similar set of visuals as shown in this film here.

Uno Gahmberg's brooding eight minute short film is a bleak, experimental depiction of hell, which utilizes wartime footage, mixed media edits and stark monochrome imagery to its advantage. The surrealist horror and hopelessness in the decaying atmosphere is felt through the screen. Gahmberg's editing is tight and effective but his musical compositions are the real selling point. The tone is devastating and the main character's plight of being trapped in this bunker is elevated by this funeral song. Overall, this is a really solid short film that'll stick with you and marks Gahmberg as a filmmaker to keep an eye on.
