Intrigue

Set in a comic book world and follows the story of A-Qi, a minor background character, and Shi San, a NPC passerby, as they team up to launch a series of actions aimed at changing the comic's plot and overturning the rules of its universe.

A-Qi accidentally discovers that she is just a minor character living in a romance comic-and that she's destined to be killed off soon to "donate her heart to the female lead, who has a congenital heart condition." In a bid to save herself, she strikes a deal with Shi San, a fellow background character. One fights to live, the other to die, and together they launch a series of wild moves to change the comic's plot. What A-Qi never expected was that her simple desire to "stay alive" would trigger a massive upheaval in the comic world-many characters and NPCs begin to awaken and break free from their original roles. As the world descends into chaos, the comic universe attempts to correct the glitch, unleashing its full power to hunt the two of them down.
