Love Marriage

This was decent story - nothing new or original perse - the premise is done lots of times in many different era - from Roja to recent and many languages as well.

But the movie is ok for most part, the lockdown bits were interesting - though got illogical after a bit and the writing was quite honestly very weak.

Meenakshi Dinesh was pretty convincing as a bubbly, well meaning, charming girl (a bit naive and impulse - but meaning good) - she pulled it out without being too much cringe / overacting / becoming a caricature - BUT - her chemistry with lead was really off - even at the end they were at the max were giving sibling vibes.

The other lead actress was rather forgettable and does not have the acting chops to pull off this role.

Verdict - one time watchable - may be with family - it is clean, have some good songs and cinematography - but not a major loss if you give this a miss as well.

The movie clearly depicts how pity angle is used to get a bride for himself.

Movie also highlights how in real life women's consent to marriage is often overshadowed by the Groom's approval.

Educates the society that 1. Everyone are living in their own timeline 2. Women's Consent to marriage is extremely important

Con: No solution provided when Groom's family were grumbling with their continued freebies.

One time watch movie cannot be called a family story like in normal Tamil cinema, but a love story. The climax of the film is excellent. There is nothing great in this film that can be said to have high expectations. The plot was similar to that of many normal Tamil cinemas. This is a film made after a long time for Vikram Prabhu, but in my opinion, it is not like his old films. All the artists who played in this film have done their jobs well.

The original film was an average one, now the remake doesn't even gave me fun vibe of the film, the story of marrying the bride's sister of whom you got engaged earlier as she was simping the groom when they got engaged, but the girl ran away as she was loving someone a usual plot thus the sister got her a chance to marry him is one hell of a non-sense story plot. The director gave stockholm syndrome a new definition in his movie. No relation to 90's kids! Wasted Mysskin sir's vibe too Yet they been promoting that it's a good film in all social platforms. The reality is different, if the director get another chance by grace, let's see to that will he make any difference in his next.
