Faith in the Flames: The Nichole Jolly Story

Where do we start people are just sitting around in their cars why the fire is going off it makes no sense and the lady sitting in the car it's just going to burn to death her car was fine you got to drive it just unbelievable stupidity throughout this whole movie I don't get the whole thing wow just stupid the whole way through.

Was looking forward to seeing this,despite it being a Lifetime production.

Unfortunately it fell short in some aspects,also curious on accuracy versus dramatic purposes.

It was hard caring for the main people,Nichole came across basically unlikable than a heroic nurse or wife & mom.

Does anyone know exactly why,her story was profiled? Wasn't like she single-handedly did,all the rescuing or something. There was firefighters & others therefore,of all people involved hers was only production worthy?

Acting to actors chosen,was ok & cinematography decent.. Happy Lifetime didn't use the standard handful,of actors like in previous movies.

Also if you're going to get actors to depict actual people how about cast ones that look similar-Body size,hair & eye color,speaking voice.

As the movie is ending they showed the actual family,think the casting agent needs to be fired.

Actually wonder if another actress might of made Nichole,seem more of a nurse with personality or something.. CM has a beautiful singing voice but comes across husky,in other aspects & maybe this limits her performance in certain roles.

For Lifetime they actually made the fire look more realistic,than with past CGI type effects.

It's horrible what happened to the town,families & their over livelihood.. My review is based off how Lifetime presented things,has me curious how the actual people involved felt after this aired.

Worth checking out,but feel could of been told better.

Despite this being a Lifetime production, I had high hopes for it as a faith based movie but it fell far short of the mark.

I really liked that the characters were very natural about their faith but it felt a bit watered down for a more mainstream audience. That isn't a bad thing, just an observation.

Chrissy Metz is a lovely, talented actress whom I have enjoyed in other roles, however this was not the right casting for this role. The character was simply unlikeable and seemed to have little chemistry with her co-stars, especially those playing the roles of her family, and I don't believe she would have been an effective nurse outside of an administrative role due to her size.

Likewise, I don't believe the character she played would have had the endurance, stamina or ability to perform many of yhe tasks depicted. Doing anything in a stressful, smokey environment would be very hard on the heart and lungs and although the character lost consciousness and was administered oxygen, she would simply not have been able to leap right up back into action however she might have wished to.

Even the parts where all the nurses got into the car and she offered to drive or a minute later when she piled into the back seat and they were all told to buckle up were implausible due to her size.

I am a short plus sized woman and am well aware of the limitations of being even mildly overweight can place on someone. I also know a number of professional nurses and while some are also rubenesque they are very fit and said that she would probably not be hired as an active duty floor or emergency room nurse due to her lkmitations.

From what pictures I've seen of Ms. Jolly, she is a lovely average sized, very fit woman and Ms. Metz's talent aside, I can't understand why they wouldn't cast someone closer in appearance to the subject.

Lifetime strikes again with a bad depiction of a tragedy. While seeing this fire and terrible damage it did, this movie was a big disappointment. Nichole Jolly was profiled - but based on the movie I watched, she did nothing more heroic than all the other nurses/doctors who helped out. AND while I love Chrissy Metz, there was nothing remotely linking her to the real life Nichole Jolly. Loved her on This is Us and the 2019 movie Breakthrough. She was severely miscast in this movie.

I lived about an hour from where the Paradise Fire took place. It was a little hard for me to watch this because it's very accurate, I remember this fire very well. It came so quickly. It was absolutely terrifying how much smoke was out where I lived and I know it was worse for them.

It's a great movie but Lifetime definitely could have shown how intense it really got. But I get why they didn't because of so many lives lost.

The 'Camp Fire' is the deadliest and most destructive wildfire in California history.

All the first responders will never be forgotten for what they did that day.
