Kazakh Scary Tales

Writer/director Adilkhan Yerzhanov's 2025 feature film horror story from Kazakhstan is actually the first 3 episodes of a planned 10 part television series (as i write this the status of the other 7 episodes is unclear). In a story likened to David Lynch's 'Twin Peaks' a cop travels to a remote area to investigate mysterious deaths at a maternity clinic. A kind of very dark horrific fairy tale from The Steppes, with some interesting visuals, a comic strip/graphic novel tone, and a vein of humour which becomes more pronounced as the film progresses.
