Two plot elements. It is discovered that another young woman is using Miracle Girl as her logo for training horses. It is affecting Amy's business and damaging some horses. She goes to confront her and they develop a bit of a relationship. She also goes to see Finn and is in for a surprise.
She makes piece with Jack but continues to hurt quite a bit.

The plot here is pretty simple. A councilman is found dead on a street. As the investigation moves forward, it is discovered he is gay and that is the complicating factor.
The bad guys, a couple extortionists, go to the victim demanding large sums of money.
The blackmail then goes to the guy's father, who is embarrassed that his son is, in fact, gay. There are serious threat made and to get these guys the father has to come forward. He will not testify to the threats that came to the son. He wanted the son closeted so as not to be singled out.
A very effective portrayal of a problem in the gay community.

Put race and ethnicity aside. Here the bad guys are just bad guys, looking for more money. This is a long, rather convoluted presentation, which goes back and forth, where people lie to juries and to families and to the police.
Stone has an impossible task because once the trial of the four boys is thrown out, things snowball. We are dealing with intractable beings who have ulterior motives.
Stone did the best he could.

Since it's been well over a year since I saw Hegemony, Part I, it took a lot of thought to get me back in the swing of things. We have some of the crew, on a planet, trapped with a large number of colonists.
They have their own problems while on board the Enterprise they are trying to combat a fleet of ships manned by the Gornjjj. This forces them to bank on their ingenuity The young woman lies in sick bay, with Gorn offspring inside her. Of course, Scotty gets into the act and there are potential forces they must deal with.

In our justice system if a person is tried for murder and has been convicted of assault four times, those convictions can't be looked at. I understand it to some extent because those cases have been litigated, but it also means that the person being tried can be a beast and the jury will never know it.
There was one long interrogation scene which we are not used to in police dramas.
Ben must make a decision where he could lose the case and put this guy (a serial killer) back on the streets.
Excellent portrayal of the realities of getting to the guts of a case.

We have some unlikeable rich people at the center of all this. They are high profile family. The wife of the son has been murdered and unceremoniously tossed aside.
The matriarch, played by Nancy Marchand, whom I remember from the Lou Grant show, decides to throw her economic weight around to get the dork exonerated. Things rest on the identification of a pin that was worn, then found.
Once again, the lawyers manage to drive deeply into the principles and turn the tables.

Sometimes we all long for celebrity and fame. But if that happens, our lives are no longer our own. Here, a soap opera star is savagely beaten in a park. In attempting to discover the person who assaulted her, we find out that there are a ton of files of people who are obsessed with her. I had a landlady in college that routinely wrote letters to soap opera characters.
The issue here ends up being the sanity of the man and whether he should stand trial in a conventional setting. His guilt is never in question, but his motivations are.
Stone ends up unsatisfied with the law that governed the trial.

Sometimes Amy will do things for horses without any regard for the fallout. Peyton and her mother are dangerous people. To say you are doing something "for a horse" implies that the horse has choices in his life. While they are intelligent creatures, they would do what they want if they were not being made slaves to their masters. For their own good is a judgment.
Logan overreacts to what Amy agreed to, but, by the same token, there are certain lines one should not cross.

A man who has been frozen for five years has been thrown in a dumpster. It turns out that he is an unsuccessful movie producer. By the time we are done we have a driver, an actress, and a few others ého were up to no good.
There are lots of problems because of the five year period, but the forces at work manage to get all their ducks in a row.

This revolves around a horrible fire in a Hispanic social club--a meeting place for legal and illegal people, this time from Central America. The escape routes were locked and most of the people died.
Sadly it turns out to be a criminal entity run by a man who uses these people to get money by providing illegal documentation.
A Salvadoran man is hired to set the fire and he gets nothing out of it except responsibility for his actions.
Apparently this show is based on an actual event--the facts of which were tweaked.
