Why is nobody else talking about how much of an absolutely blatant rip off of Francis Ford Coppolla's Dracula, this film is?
The costume design, the story, the interpretation of Dracula?
All I've seen is people, whether they like the film or not, commenting about the lavish style etc but if someone told me the costume designer "borrowed" the costumes from the 1994 film, I wouldn't be at all surprised.
It's just a watered down, lifeless copy of the 1994 film; a bloodless nothing that should have been staked in the heart long before it got made.

As a fan of Timo Vuorensola (Iron Sky), I have to say, I do like an unabashed sci-fi that revels in it's own silliness. This film however is by no means Iron Sky. Even with an 85 minute run time, it feels like sitting through a three hour episode of the worst Outer Limits episode ever; the only problem being there's no cool twist at the end and it was written by a child who has never seen a movie.

I enjoyed the series overall and I am gutted it was cancelled. While Season 1 was interesting and suitably creepy, Season 2 is where the fun REALLY kicks off!
A spoiler free taster of Season 2 would be just to say that Annie Wilks from Misery arrives in Castle Rock with her daughter and gets mixed up with some... creatures from Salem's lot (but not vampires.. kind of) but the most watchable part was Lizzy Caplan's portrayal of Annie Wilks from Misery; I mean she NAILS the part - she's just a younger version of Cathy Bates!
I appreciate that when playing characters by different actors, they will usually put their own spin on them but Lizzy just plays it like Cathy, with the "dirty bird" and "number one fan" quotes (with explanations to their origins!) I absolutely loved every minute of her performance (and her parents in flashbacks) and I would highly recommend a watch of the show, if not for the second season alone. Imagine playing an established and - kind of - beloved character as a younger version and still being able to convey emotions and mental illness as effectively as Lizzy does beautifully. Ms. Caplan should have been given every award possible for this remarkable performance.
