I enjoyed it. The film overall is very good. Some of the scenes, particularly running through Marseille nightclubs were cool as hell. There are just a few things that stop it from being an outstanding movie.
Let's start with the good. The concept of the character and his revenge cause is inviting, as are the locations for filming, which keep it quite magical. There were also some great sidekicks and unlikely forms of help along the way that support the film really well. Hats off to Laurence Fisburne in particular, who plays a great part for his role, and also Caitriona Balfe as well.
The bad. Well, the pacing was a bit off. There were times where it seemed weeks went by, but the viewer wasn't really informed of it. There was also a lack of rapport with his wife, which dulls the emotion a bit too. A bit more investment into the relationship or her situation would have gone a long way. I guess I would also say the main character being a bit too weak and flimsy made his story arc a little bit too unbelievable at times. I've seen Jason Bourne mentioned a few times in these comments, and there are definitely some similarities with the films. The difference is, when Jason Bourne evades the chasing pack, you believe he is capable of it. Here, it feels a little extra farfetched. Rami Malek, still was good though, I just would have made him, I guess, a little less of a buffoon.
Overall, I enjoyed it and would watch it again. It is a very well made film, and my criticisms are not that it is lazy whatsoever. It isn't. It's probably just a bit of a shame it wasn't slightly little more rounded in places that I highlighted above. It wouldn't have taken much to raise the 7/10 to an 8/10 in that case. Would still absolutely recommend!

I liked so much of this. The scenery and cinematography were brilliant, as were the standard of animations, which felt very real. The intensity was non-stop as at some stage it just flicks on a switch and then never let's you go. I binged it all as I couldn't stop watching.
The thing that is really bizarre to me were the small plot holes, and silly teen romance which feels a bit childish, and slightly discredits what is an otherwise solid piece of television. I don't know why they did that as at some parts I found myself practically tutting at the screen. There are a few other nonsense moments, but if you can overlook that 10%, it is still brilliant.
Genuinely, a really enjoyable watch, and I would recommend it to anyone. I actually felt a bit guilty only giving this a 7/10 because if it wasn't for those small icks it could probably be an 8 or more. Merry Christmas!
