I have watched the first platform ages ago and I can't remember anything from I'm so maybe I should've watched it again before I watched this one because none of it made sense.

Don't get me wrong it was very entertaining to watch, it's one of those movies where you know it's wacky and makes no sense but you watch to get answers and figure out what's going on. But man! This film leaves you with more questions than answers.

I like the message the movie puts forward about general society as a whole and hierarchy but I believe the first movie was more focussed on that whilst this one was more about abiding by the rules. To be honest, I found all the rules that the 'prisoners' had to follow really weak. I mean come on in that situation you are not going to be wasting food of the deceased.

I mean other reviewers have already pointed out most of the plot holes and unanswered questions and I'm trying to keep this as spoiler free as I can so I won't repeat them, however I can at least name 10 unanswered questions this movie leaves you with.

I have no idea if there will be a platform 3. If there is I hope it's better than this one and hopefully more unique as well, I don't know if I can endure another 2 hours of pretty much the exact same movie but with different characters and motives. In my opinion, a film that is a sequel or prequel apparently, to the first shouldn't force you to search up explanations to the film.

Long story short, it's probably best to not watch this film or just watch the original. I don't see any point of watching this film unless you watched the first, but even then this film is completely irrelevant and just lets down the amazing first film.

An interesting film to say the least. The first act does well at establishing our characters however the main character we are meant to root for is kind of a careless, aggressive and obnoxious teenager. This makes it less enjoyable to watch as I found myself less invested. Act 2 saves this movie from getting around 4 stars, I really like the twist of who is behind the masks as I think it adds an interesting dynamic to the movie and shows how mental some people can become. If this twist was implemented into a higher budget and better written script I think the concept could've really been perfect.

Was the motive weak? Sure, but I'm guessing they were trying to show that substance abuse can make bad situations in life worse? However I don't believe substance abuse= automatically turn into a deranged psychopath that doesn't think about their consequences. I also like how act 2 kind of showed us the other side of the story and a bit of the villains backstory.

Act 3 was, well it wasn't great. It felt very rushed and a bit cheesy. It left quite a few plot holes and things in the air. I understand it's meant to be a silly slasher but wow do some of these characters make some awful decisions.

Overall I definitely think the movie is worth checking out, i guess it's quite unique for modern slashers but just don't get your expectations too high as in places the movie is downright awful.

Wow, that was a rollercoaster of thoughts! The film starts off strong with 2 Mormon girls that go round to people's houses to try and convert them and share their religious thoughts. Enter Mr. Reed played by the wonderful Hugh Grant who does exceptionally well at displaying his character as a mischievous villain. Mr. Reed challenges the beliefs of the girls. As a non religious person I thought the message Mr Reed was trying to put across was quite powerful and made a lot of sense (in the first act only, we are going to forget the mess that half of act 2 and act 3 is).

My only problem is that the film falls very flat in the second half of act 2 and act 3. The ending is also pretty confusing and was pretty poor. The film tries to be really smart but ends up contradicting itself quite a bit.

The film surprised me however, I thought it was going to be another boring thriller about religion but it ends up being a pretty good escape the house movie. It's kind of like a Saw meets kidnapping movie meets religion movie. The characters are amazing, the acting is phenomenal and the characters are easy to root for.

If you have trouble paying attention or prefer to watch easy movies with not much thought, I don't think this is the movie for you.

Also the soundtrack/songs in this movie is excellent.
