Ann Doran is accused of being in on her convicted husband's undefined felony. All the busy-body do-gooders want to take her baby from her. When she leaves town to search for exculpatory evidence, she leaves the baby with Jimmy Lydon and Charles Smith. This, naturally, leads to Lydon doing various stupid things, like bringing the baby on a date to an expensive night club.
It's the last of the Henry Aldrich movies, and it's all right if you think that anyone in town thinks Henry Aldrich is to be trusted with a ten-month-old baby. He and Dizzy use lubricating oil on the baby, mix together eight sorts of baby foods and burn them on the stove, and indulge in various sorts of messes. Like most of them, Val Burton had a hand in the script and he's a decent comedy writer, but between Lydon reaching the decrepit and age of 21, it was time for everyone to move on.

Lyricist Ann Sothern divorces music writer Robert Young twice while top-billed Eleanor Powell dances with a dog in this MGM musical that depends more on its large number of supporting characters and specialty acts than its leads.
Young and Miss Sothern start out writing mediocre Brown/Freed songs, and eventually write the two hit songs from the 1924 Gershwin musical: the title song and "Fascinating Rhythm.
Everyone works hard, but the special effects department and Miss Powell own this movie when the rather blah plot doesn't interfere. It's Freed's fifth movie as a producer, and he still hasn't realized that his unit's future lay in pure book musicals. The specialty numbers are good, with Connie Russell singing "Fascinating Rhythm", and the Berry Brothers doing some athletic dancing, but his future lay with musical personnel who could act, and that wouldn't begin to come together until the following year.

A pretty girl seems to float among the stars in this short film from Pathe Freres.
As she writhes and twirls, the camera seems to do much the same, giving an air of lightness and floating in a gravityless environment. This particular technique does not seem to have survived in the language of cinema, but it is an interesting experiment.
