'Daaru na peenda hove' is a movie about an aloholic man who destroys his personal and professional life due to his excessive drinking habit (as shown in the trailer). The concept is brilliant, and gives a strong message that alcohol is not only bad for health but for relations as well. Amrinder Gill has performed this role like he has been alocholic for years, lol. That's actually a praise coz it's very tough to perform an alcoholic character. This movie shows how versatile he can be and what a gifted talent he is. He had that fun in his eyes while playing the comic parts while he was drunk, and pain in emotional scenes which was a treat to watch. He has that ability to catch the attention of the audience and I would like to see him experimenting new things like this. Amrinder Gill is the heart and soul of this movie without a thread of doubt. Zafri Khan on the other hand is bang on with his punch timings and gave life to the movie in my opinion. He is a much needed support character for adding punchy humour. No doubt he is one of the best comic artists in punjabi cinema now and deserves more chances in the future. Sohaila aka Noor was very good and poured the charm and emotions into the movie, and the other actors were also very decent. The movie kept a good balance between comedy and drama which was a delight to watch. Music was decent, lowkey did well with the BG. Overall it's a great movie to watch with family and friends and kudos to Amrinder Gill, Karaj Gill and team Rhythm Boyz for putting in the efforts to create this wonderful work. Movies like these are a step up ladder which will help elevate punjabi cinema standards in the future.

The climax of the movie has been copied from the classic story 'Lamb to the slaughter' by Roald Dahl. Bollywood has been copying stuff from here and there for so long that we have no doubt that every movie has been copied from something and you can never expect a completely new and original stuff.. I feel pity for the filmmakers these days that they don't have writers with unique mind.. They don't have original script writers anymore.. Tapsee Pannu herself is an eclipse to the moon.. She can only do vulgar stuff well.. Vikrant played his part well but the movie is simply a waste of time and not worth watching once you know it was copied and twisted a little to fool Indian audience who didn't read the english story Lamb to the slaughter..
