If you loved the first season you'll love this! Bolder, darker, and a bit gorier season 2 is more of what people loved in the first season. Theres a compelling mystery with real stakes and enough red herrings to fill a pickling plant Its a fun, wild ride that ramps up in the 4th episode making the wait for part 2 PAINFUL It's not without its faults though there are a few substories that don't quite land and some of the dialogue from the supporting cast is a bit painful. The 3rd episode also wasn't very strong and didnt really contribute much to the proceedings. How a 5 star then? It comes down to did I have a good time? Yes, yes I did and despite its foibles here and there just like the first season whats strong is reeally strong and whats weak isn't deal breaking. Jenna is as compelling as ever, the story is quite captivating, and it all adds up to a excellent start for the season.
Absolutely brilliant and unlike anything hollywood has ever produced of could ever produce. It portrays a realism that connects truly with everyday people stuck in an unimaginable situation. It uses the same tools, tricks and turns of a classic scifi recipe, but in an unpretentious way. It is an ode to Oesterheld, one of the many unsung heroes and heroines of this world. It gives hope in these horrific times we are living to hear his voice through this production and hope to find others from other lost corners of the world like ours. But unfortunately a lot of people didn't knew the true massage or didn't even try to know or didn't even give it a chance.
In a lot of ways this is great stuff. The Sakka character is better than the origin -- more person and less silly comic relief. The series is **perfectly** cast, right from Aang on through the rest. Where it falls a little short is in some of the details, but they still did a pretty good job of turning a whole lot of cartoon into many fewer episodes. Compressing a detailed story into a significantly shorter time has got to be quite hard, but they managed to pull it off without losing too much. They did a great job with flying creatures, scenery, costumes, and special effects. This is soooo much better than that sucky movie that was so badly casted and scripted. The bottom line is that I enjoyed it completely, and I can't wait for season two!!
